  1. Yeah, looks like a manufacturing defect, which simply disqualifies it from getting a Mint/Gem grade.
  2. Yeah, 9.8 is not the pinnacle grade. If that's the only defect, then it certainly could be a NM+.
  3. I personally don't like pressing, for the most part. There are no guarantees that it will increase a book's perceived grade.
  4. Oh, come on... As a recent n00b (circa 2015-2017), I read CGC's main website, and searched/read many a topic here before asking questions. It's just common sense. We have more openly-available resources than ever before. People should do their own research before asking questions. I remember my first Newbie question was, "How to Acquire Facilitator Services?", because I didn't know how to get certified signatures for events that I wouldn't personally attend. A valid question to this day, IMO. @revat, IIRC, even suggested posting a "bounty". IMO there are stupid questions. Ones that can be answered by doing your own common sense research. As I mentioned, we have more openly-available resources than ever before because of the internet and Google. You're right - that it is easier to answer stupid questions - because we have regurgitated the same (obvious) answers ad nauseam. We can't, and shouldn't suggest, coddling everyone. Make common sense common again.
  5. There are larger bags and boards out there. I have received them when I bought all 3 Batman: Damned comics.
  6. Did WODC change the title to "The Suicide Squad 2"? I've seen graphics, recently, with a 2 on it.
  7. X-Men: Apocalypse is a damn insult to the title character. That is why people don't like it. "Oh, hey, I can straight-up murder people with sand. I'm only gonna do it once though." For a movie made within the last 5 years, the CGI is awful.
  8. All good things come to an end. Let's just say I'm pessimistic and leave it at that.
  9. Gotta 100% disagree with you there. As good as Black Panther is, a ton of people went to see it because of Infinity War. Captain Marvel is mediocre and was only a financial success because of the Infinity War and Endgame tie-in. And at to your final paragraph, Marvel Studios only had this goodwill because of how well the Infinity Saga tied-in and payed off. Now that there is no overarching story to tell, especially through Phase 4, what's the point for the casual fans? Especially considering titles that are unknowns, and the fact that they are seemingly keen on undoing that great storytelling from the Infinity Saga (Vision, Mjolnir). We have plentifully seen that a lot of times, if it's a good movie, doesn't matter. I don't think it touches a billion even if it's a good movie. Superhero fatigue is real, even for those who are comic book fans. To outright deny that would be pure ignorance.
  10. A few choice legacy characters have some draw, sure, but The Dark World is considered 'not good' despite having Hemsworth's Thor as the title character. The bolded is also completely incorrect. Beginning with The Avengers 1st credit scene, everyone cared. Everything else you've posted is just bologna.
  11. The ones that you want checked for authenticity and entombed in plastic.
  12. As usual - wrong again. As I said before, you must not have paid much attention to the MCU (despite your obvious bias), Thanos and the Infinity Stones were the only draw for the casual fan. They had to stick around to see how the season ended. You just admitted that the villains suck and stories are "okay", so again... That concedes that the Infinity Saga was the only overarching draw for anyone to see movies for titles and characters they knew nothing about. Thanks for that one. Nobody has heard of The Eternals before, they're not characters that are going to draw empathy, and that's why this movie is almost assuredly not going to be close to a billion.
