  1. Gettin' paid, gettin' trades, number IDK. 2. I don't recall the first sale having a Best Offer option. I don't have GC account so I guess I'll take your/their word for it.
  3. My "Market is Insane" topic tries to tackle the literal insanity that you're trying to logically explain here. Too many people buy the label and not the book. I'll pay more for CGC vintage books only for the peace of mind regarding restoration/completion checks by the professionals at CGC (and/or signatures witnessed). The trend of overpaying for someone else's opinion on grade is going to die down at some point, or kill enthusiasm for much of the younger and less-lucrative generation(s).
  4. I'm calling you a liar because of your "2,999th post will be my last" spiel. You can never be trusted again.
  5. There was a seller who made $2k for one of the 'Tec 1000 Alex Ross A Variants graded 9.9 Mint. You can buy a Gem Mint for $1k or another 9.9 for < $500... People need to stop feeding the stupid "FOMO" first-wave craze. You're burning your own wallet.
  6. S/he could buy one for $500 now and made a profit of $7k for literally nothing other than a sucka being out there.
  7. I've been looking at a lot of Silver Age books recently. The old CGC label books consistently look better than let's say "half" of newer-label books. I suspect that pressing has to do with it. I want a book that's 100% natural. I don't want it to be as flat as possible. It just doesn't look right to me. I feel like pressing will make a book with a 'meh' wrap look a lot worse when flattened.
  8. Great point! IST packs their shipments A+ every time. I am never worried about anything getting dinged or damaged (even though they're just collected editions most of the time). Truly the best.
  9. Oh , that's yours? It's my home page at work. Thank you!
  10. You are absolutely welcome. IST can take awhile to ship, though, so you may have to have patience. It's worth the wait for 40% off cover price, though, IMO. I typically order 10-20 different books and they've taken up to 7 days to ship out. Unfortunately, international shipments don't get the perk of free shipping over $50. If you really get into buying HCs and TPBs a lot, like me, you'll save a ton of money through IST.
  11. PS Artbooks also has "Pre-Code Classics" for genres like Horror and Sci-Fi, if those things float your boat.
  12. I don't know if I've ever agreed with anything else posted on this site more than these sentences.
  13. DC: The Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Marvel Masterworks Buy from InStockTrades (typically 40% off cover prices).
  14. 1st sale on eBay sold for $8k... That seller won big time.
  15. Somewhere between 3.0-4.0 IMO. I'm not sure what a press would do for it.
