  1. Has anyone had any luck in getting a 9.8 upgraded to a 9.9? I ask, because there is a limited 6-issue series that I'm looking at, all graded by CGC. 5 of the 6 are 9.9s. As someone with OCD, well, that doesn't appease me lol. These are Modern books printed in the mid-90's. There are 0 9.9s on the Census for me to consider finding. To some, this seems trivial. To the ones that understand, I'm sure you can empathize. Has this ever happened for anyone?
  2. I don't care about stupid comments made by Larson. As long as she's good in the movie - that's all I care about. If she steps over the line, well, we've seen that Disney isn't opposed to making changes to fix PR.
  3. I wouldn't get worked up over toys. Didn't they have a Black Suit Superman for Justice League? Obviously that didn't happen (though, it would have in the Snyder Cut). I'm still excited to see this.
  4. I still don't have Wonder Woman on Blu-ray. I might order Aquaman on digital via PSN when it's available.
  5. I've added quite a bit since I got suspended (RIP NY resolution): Spawn Origins HC 1-8 (6 First Editions) Absolute Flashpoint Absolute Watchmen Absolute World's Greatest Superheroes Absolute Justice Marvels: Platinum Edition I read Flashpoint, and it's a great piece of work from the last decade, which is rare IMO. I haven't read Watchmen in over a decade. I'm now obsessed with Alex Ross, so getting all of these limited series painted by him in hardcovers will be very fun to read.
  6. They're moving in the direction of casting all relatively unknowns for hero roles and all star power for villain roles. The Phase III heroes have been mostly stars.
  7. Zack Snyder's Superman trilogy - Man of Steel, BvS, and Justice League - did exactly what you're claiming he wasn't: Creating and developing Superman... We already saw Batman go through what you're suggesting circa 2005-2013. You really wanted to see that re-hashed a couple years later? I just don't agree with this line of thinking. We needed something new - not regurgitated - and we got it. In fact, most people think that Batman is the best part of BvS. Even the people that don't think highly of the movie diagree with this.
  8. It's the typical Snyder Cut. Has 30+ minutes of additional footage and the story conveyed in the correct order (theatrical cut was re-ordered which increased confusion for lead character motivations). More than 90% of the additional footage is critical to the story (not really action sequences). It turns an otherwise 'meh' movie into something truly great. Anyone who hasn't seen it isn't judging the real thing. If you don't like the Ultimate Edition, then it can't be argued that you're judging a different movie. BvS just isn't a movie for someone that wants nothing but the Marvel Formula, though. If you want something "realistic" and gritty, when it comes to gods and aliens, Snyder puts a great spin and perspective on those aspects. He also pays homage to dozens of comics. I love(d) the serious tone of Worlds of DC. IMO it's the perfect compliment to Marvel's mostly-buddy comedy types. Some people don't like it for the New Superman arc. As has been said a million times - this isn't the same Superman that has been in comics for 80 years. This is Superman just a couple years removed from finding out what he can begin to be. Justice League was our first glance at Snyder's completion to Superman's trilogy. Post-JL was/is the era of 'The Real Superman'. I love it. Other people are too short-sighted to get invested in a trilogy with an important character arc and development, which is really odd, since most of those people claim that Worlds of DC/Snyder can't tell stories and/or develop characters... Really, really odd. Sorry for the novella of a response!
  9. Granted - Warner Bros. and Joss Whedon ruined Justice League. The Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition is a great movie, though (been said a million times).
  10. That's not as enticing since she went blonde. Just re-watch the first 2 Avengers. She's not getting any younger, man.
  11. I have a pile of drek for sale. $35 for 35 books.
  12. WUT Man of Steel is a phenomenal film and Zack Snyder is the tits. Wan might be able to do a Superman film justice.
  13. Collecting playing cards. I've mostly given up, and even sold high-money decks, to fund my comic collection. It's intensifying and I might have to liquidate my collection (5-figures at minimum). I'm adamant about keeping at least a gross (144) of decks, but the comics keep whispering to me...
  14. Cap got his shield back you buzz kill! Rocket wasn't in the 1st trailer you jabroni! The Russo Bros. did the same thing for both Civil War and Infinity War. The Civil War one did nothing for me. The Infinity War one was f^&*ing gorgeous, though, and gave me a full-on you-know-what. The Civil War dialogue sucked, though. "United we stand. Divided we fall." Whereas Infinity War was all, "So this is it. It's all been leading to this" and, "Ready?" They were complete opposite of the movie hype train.
  15. Question: I won a few auctions recently. I'm waiting on a transfer until I pay for 1 of them. Despite already winning the auction, can I cash in on the 10% eBay Bucks that is going on right now? Never tried it before because I usually pay right away.
  16. I could wipe my @$$ 12 hours after eating a giant salad and it would be a better variant.
  17. This variant made me vomit and I abhor you for sharing it.
  18. Definitely. They intended on Captain America grabbing the reins. They just didn't account for dongs liking dongs (let's be honest - most people are dongs - including myself). I'm not on-board with WW leading Worlds of DC. I've always been fond of the 'leadership by group' that the Justice League always had going. The Trinity was the way to go, IMO, and they screwed that up by canning Snyder (part of the reason Affleck is out, and Cavill likely, too).
  19. My standards are definitely higher, but I still read 80's and 90's comics. They're just much easier for me to digest than the past decade has been. I feel like artists are going for too much 'sharpness' and stuff in their work. The dialogue in some books today is definitely influenced by current slang - which is a huge turn off for me. I can still pick up 80's and 90's - and earlier - books and easily enjoy them.
  20. What about Captain Marvel? She's very important to Endgame, and obviously that won't be available outside of theaters before Avengers 4 hits us 7 weeks later.
