  1. I'm thinking 7.5. Relatively clean edges, sharp corners, no creases and it's old....really really old. Negatives a minor spine roll that can easily be pressed out and some wear along the spine. I've seen plenty of 7.5's in worse shape. What's not to like. Clean and press candidate? That's a real nice copy. Me likee.
  2. I'm thinking almost a 4.0, so I'll lean towards a 4.5 on this one. Just not enough creases for a 4.0. I've got one in my collection almost in the same condition.
  3. Wow, this is a nice one. Only because of the combination of everything that's going along the spine, IMO this is a solid 8.5. Love the gloss on this one. Very, very nice.
  4. Yeah, he's got a point about what's happening along the spine. But, you might be able to squeeze an 8.5 on this one, only because the rest of the book is quite nice. One I'd be proud to own. Thanks for putting it on board.
  5. I was worried about the missing piece dropping this below a 4.0, but apparently it's allowed. So, I'll go 4.0 on this one as well.
  6. Leaning towards a 6.0 on this one as well.
  7. I can't see why that couldn't be an 8.0 at least. Nice pick up for a dollar.
  8. I didn't know this was a test. Also, what's a 19?
  9. That's a nice copy. I count 9 ticks along the spine. Enough to go in at 9.0 as well.
  10. 8.5...that's a nice comic to find in somebody's attic.
  11. Combination of what's happening along the spine as well as some surface wear at the top. I'm not sure what it is, but something that was there effected the colors/finish. Not saying what it is but to me anyway, it looks like there used to be a stain there that may have been cleaned up? Just a shot. Sorry, I can't go any higher than 4.0 on this.
  12. If they were smaller and less obtrusive, sure...maybe a 9.4. I'm thinking 9.0/9.2 as well. Still, a very nice copy.
  13. I'll weigh in at 5.0. I don't see a spine roll along the spine, but the opposite side lies like there is one. If there is no spine roll I could see a 5.5.
  14. Maybe the proper question would be how much does the tear effect the grade. IMO...not a whole lot....maybe 1/2 a grade?
  15. Okay, I fixed it. Thanks very much for the response. I purchased the book privately from a long time collector that did not bag and board his comics. They basically just sat there, hence the tanned back cover. Anyway, I paid accordingly about 18 years ago. That color breaking crease wasn't there when I bought it so I was genuinely surprised when it was pointed out. Personally after all this, I'm thinking somewhere between an 8.0 and an 8.5 if I can take advantage of the fact it's Silver Age. I know if it were copper or bronze, this wouldn't be any better than an 8.0 because of the crease. I don't know how much my causing the damage effected the grade, considering the back, but if any one would care to weigh in, it would be appreciated. For the record, there are no other defects on the comic.
  16. go collect has a FMV of $250.00 for a 9.8.
  17. 5.0...mostly because of the spine ticks.
  18. Yep, definite color fade on the cover. I am absolutely certain Shield agents do not use pink firearms. 12 tics along the spine and corner wear enough to bring this to 7.5 IMO. Not sure how the fade will effect the grade but this may go down to a 7.0 as a result. Still a nice looking "variant" cover.
  19. I'm chiming in at 4.0. Here's why. The book without the subscription crease is a 4.0. Because it is a 4.0, the crease doesn't effect the grade.
  20. Wong is Dr. Strange's trusted valet, a handy guy to have around in a fight kind of person (who knows martial arts) and his all around trusted friend and nice guy.
  21. Hey, nice copy. Combination of about ticks along the spine, some indentations along the bottom edge corner wear upper left, bottom left and bottom rigth, small accumulation of dirt on the back leans me towards offering a 7.5 on this one.
  22. I'm thinking in the 9.2/9.4 range at best. Only because of the accumulation of ticks on the back cover.
  23. Because all I can see is just a spine tick, I'll have to go with 9.6. However, if there are defects I'm not able to see, it may go down to a 9.4. Very nice.
