As good as Molina plays Ock I keep thinking how perfect Jack Black would of been in that role! At least from a physical standpoint.

I agree, but (and this is my bias showing but I don't think I'm wrong) Thor contains some of Kirby's most amazing work and DD does not. So for me at least, Thor is much more undervalued if that makes sense.
They changed titles from JIM to Thor in issue 126 right? Did Kirby do Thor the rest of the way till he left for DC the first time?

Interesting. The OP flashed thru the boards and then was gone, leaving behind an interesting thread with a title that’s like fingernails on a chalkboard.
thanks for putting us out of our misery, CGC Mike

It will live in infamy.

I would personally take FF49 over ASM51. I may be a bit bias because I'm a huge surfer / FF fan
Same here but just Intuitively. I wouldn't be surprised if 51 passed it at least in higher grades depending on how this MCU appearance is carried out. Assuming it even does? On the other side it wouldn't be far fetched to believe Galactus has an appearance of his own at some point. If I had to choose one of those long term its 49 but not by much.
I haven't heard much on this Kingpin rumor. Any word on who the actor could be? Is it the actor from the Netflix series?
Edit: just checked FF49 in highest grades and yeah....I think it's more safe than I estimated lol! I still think 51 could outpace for a while but not surpass.

I'm watching Welcome back Kotter right now. Does anyone happen remember a movie Gabe Kaplan was in where he gets pulled over by a cop and suddenly forgot how to drive after the cop was done? He proceeded to tell the cop and his flabbergasted reaction was just priceless 😂😂😂...It was the mos hilarious thing I'd seen in a movie like....ever!

Well, if you are going to "limit" the topics, then of course it would be tough to make it actually free flowing. It's beyond well intended, the idea. It actually works and has for decades.
I myself used to pilot a music trading page. One of my caveats was "feel free to talk about whatever you like. Religion, politics, sex, violence, love, hate, movies music. I don't care. An I have instructed the mods to stay off peoples backs about it."
It worked just fine. We respected one another and trusted one another enough to let people have their say or share their observations. I only removed one person for an unrelated matter. He revealed the sites name publicly and it was a private site. No one needed to know about it. Security first.Sure I'd agree if not for the fact that a number of threads in the water cooler about hot potato issues didn't end well. The COVID thread had to be closed despite being heavily moderated.
If the mods want to experiment with it then great. All I'm saying is I wouldn't be too optimistic of the outcome.
....guess we'll find out.

An unmoderated thread would become a nucular chain reaction. This radio activity would then spread to the rest of the threads as ppl began hating each other's guts. I like the idea in general but only if it was an isolated website somewhere. The ditch forum allowed anything goes for a while and it was ugly-and it also spread over here and led to at least one banning.
Right but from what I take, the idea is not to have "no moderation" but less moderation with clear rules. The thing I see is the number of subjects that could easily wind their way into politics is very large! You would have to so limit the allowed topics in the thread as to defeat it's purpose. It would be tough to make it actually free flowing. I tend to agree with the skepticism with so many members possibly chiming in. The idea is definitely well intended!

I'll toss this out just for grins:
I collect music as well. Many music trading sites online have forums. We can trade files or mail cd's to each other and so forth.
Mods at these sites can get their pantalooms wadded up as well. Plus a lot of crybaby members who can't take a joke or think their poopies don't smell. You know the type?
So, many of these sites got to a bit of a crossroads. And they seemed to have the same idea at the same time and created a "Lounge" section. Where people could go to begin reasonable threads and pretty much talk about what they wanted to. One of the provisos was if you enter the lounge, better have a thick skin and be able to take a joke.
It's moderated to a degree. No racism or sexism and so forth. No KKK baloney etc. You know? But by and large, it works. Has for years. Humor helps members get to know each other better and even understand each other better.
And when the Broomstick In The Colons show up to peer down their noses at other members, well, they were warned before going in. Like a non smoker going into a designated smoking area. You can hang here if you WANT to. Make waves then take a hike. Take your Puritanical sensibilities and hang out somewhere else.
These sites recognized not everyone is going to find the same things amusing. And the Lounge areas have shown a lot of success for members - like myself for example - to blow off steam and be able to joke with people with a similar sense of humor while not offending the more timid elements. It's simple: Can't take a joke? Stay out. People with outdoorsy sensibilities were being asked to stoop to someone else's level and it plain didn't work. No one has the right to tell someone else to cool it just because they have different sensibilities. Not when there is a way to give all the babies their bottles.
So, I am saying. Someone could easily create a lounge thread, everyone would know what the dealio is and go forward from there. They work quite well. The only ones I can recall resisting the idea were control freaks who felt they needed to monitor everyone's thoughts and viewpoints. I see plenty of stuff everywhere that I think is lowbrow or outright stupid. I just stay away. Why throw nickels into myself? So basically....
Create a micro-forum within which those deserving can be hazed without moderator interference?
I guess the idea is to have minimal moderation, less rigidity. There's probably already a number of these types of threads in the water cooler. Maybe a thread can be pinned in the water cooler with a clear stated purpose and firm guidelines at the beginning. Call it something like the "shoot the shizz thread"
I don't know how many people will see it there but *maybe* worth a shot. Although I get a feeling it could turn into a dumpster fire.

Most of the time the moderators get it right but there are examples of subjective overpolicing as would be expected. Moderation is easier said than done. I just hope the new surveillance doesn't turn into some kind of no fun zone where legit innocent humor gets hammered. Making it too boring is as much a risk as off topic trolling.

I vaguely remember this Hulk cover I once saw with Hulk holding out his hands in front of him and a Stan sig hovering directly over the hands. Gosh it was so long ago I don't even remember what issue or whether it was a modern variant cover? I just recall it being a grey Hulk wearing a suit, hands in front as if he was holding something invisible. Anyway, it was the best example of a Stan sig I ever saw. If anyone knows what I'm referring to please post it!

Hmmnn.... I think it was always Murdock.
Not surprisingly though, Kirby had his share of creating DD as well!
