I’d be concerned that the book has impacted the walls of the inner well and suffered some minor SCS along the top and bottom edges. Maybe an illusion, but it looks a little suspect....hm

Always with the eagle eyes 😂. I'd speculate more to do with the feedback and the tendency of Ebay being a lousy auction platform for high dollar books. We see that type of micro slab issue quite often. I don't know If I'd call it terribly uncommon.

looks like they moved ole Ben over on the FF label so he wouldn't be covered by the hologram and also planned accordingly for the other new images

I'd still want to see it with the hologram to be sure. The black spidey and the DD would still be obscured and maybe the Doom one as well. It would help if cgc would show them with the hologram in place.

That’s a weird GPA result since the last 0.5 at heritage was $456.00. And one missing three pages (including story pages) went for $417.68 on eBay last November. $175 sounds like a steal by comparison.

It’s been at least four years since the last 0.5 closed under $120.

The last 0.5 incomplete GPA went for around 200 last March but it had some pages missing not story related. It also had tape attaching the cover/first pages and somehow managed a universal label. That seems to be the lowest of the incomplete blue label 0.5. The other recent ones but without tape, just pages missing were ~400 give or take. There is significant difference between early and late 2021 though.

I am new to this forum and posted a while ago about finding nice Original Series Gold Key Star Trek comics. I got them graded and slabbed by CGC. These came out pretty nice, especially the Star Trek #1 with White Pages. I now am researching what to do and where to sell them for the best prices. Would it be best to sell the 4 of them as a lot or separate? I know that the auction houses get top dollar. What kind of commissions do they charge for selling? Are rare graded comics bringing good prices now?

Thank you for all of your input. This has been quite exciting. The grading process took months and was quite the investment but, apparently, well worth it. I now own one of 12 Star Trek #1 comics graded at 9.2. Very exciting!

Are these books related to the original series episodes or different storylines altogether? I'd be curious if there's an issue that involves the "corbomite" episode where little Clint Howard appears? Well anyway, I wish they hadn't canceled it when they did. That was probably one of the dumbest cancellations ever! The show easily had a couple more good seasons to run.

I used to think it didn’t but I can’t figure why fees are so high either

Their giant marketplace has something to do with that. I just wish more comics people (outside these boards) bothered to check where to buy outside feebay once in a while. Might be worth the effort just to avoid the sales tax alone. And yes they do take a cut of the shipping price as well. I've sold a good number of books on Ebay while listing them elsewhere for less. I'll put something on the Clink exchange to barely get a sniff while I get 5 offers on feebay at a higher price + sales tax. An ASM 129 9.6 I'd sold not too long ago comes to mind.... sold it on Ebay when it could've been had for considerably less on Myslabs! Well anyway Its enough to drive ya batty :pullhair:

Fees are going up - varies region to region.

    Ones I have noticed:

Store monthly fee, fixed fee per sale, % fee per sale, chargeback fee....

    Many more.

Not great timing - but again, there is zero competition. If I want to reach the most buyers in Australia, there is no other format that comes close.

Yes the final value fee in the United  states Increased from a base 12.55% to 12.9% for "non store" sellers who don't wish to pay a 28 dollar monthly store subscription. I think it was increased last February for the "collectibles comics" category. So essentially if you're a casual seller only listing something occasionally it's nearly 13%. If you sell through global shipping program its another 1.65% on top of that. Finally, if you sell something for over 7,500 dollars that's another ~2.5% fee tacked on to the 12.9%. So if you're selling something for 7500+ internationally from the US without a store subscription be prepared to be fleeced!

Anyone who thinks this is excessive should try and buy from places like Myslabs who only charge a nominal fee. I can say for sure, that's the first place I look when searching for something!

As a primarily Spanish speaking person, do these Mexican publications appeal to you in any way as a collectible?

Well English is my primary since I'm raised in the US, though the older family members are mainly Spanish speaking. I find them interesting but probably not enough to seek them out for collecting. I do have a friend who's from Argentina and fluent in Spanish. He's reeely reeely into La Prensa copies of anything Spidey! Infact I didn't even know Gwen married Peter Parker in the Mexican version until he told me. I suppose if I'd been raised in that area like he was/had more exposure to them I'd be collecting them.

Ok, another that I bought right after the #2. This book is dated the same month as it's Marvel counterpart. Perhaps even a month or two prior, La Prensa was publishing along side Marvel and keeping pace. In fact, either with or after issue #8, La Prensa went bi-weekly, which facilitated them needing to print stories from other Marvel titles (mostly Ant-Man from TTA or Avengers stories) to fill in the gaps. Spider-Man was THAT popular in Mexico! There are a pair of other copies of this on the census, an 8.0 and a 3.5. The bright yellow masthead adds a unique contrast to the Marvel version of the Lizard's first appearance.

Real nice man! Interesting they didn't use "La lagartija" in place of "lagarto"? My family is primarily Spanish speaking and lagarto is never used. It actually could mean alligator.
