  1. I think I have a higher opinion of Robin than most, because my Robin is the dark, brooding, slightly sarcastic 1990s DCAU one, who came along with a dark, brooding Batman. Not that I have $180,000 to spend, of course.
  2. Something I figured I'd mention, as we're in the first week of episodes (and approaching the release of another Superman project): I care very deeply about Superman, because he was created by Jewish immigrants to represent the Jewish immigrant experience, and I’ve always been bothered by the grittier Superman because, for me, he’s supposed to represent a hopeful, future, American immigrant experience. The Superman captured by this show, and by the 1990s DCAU shows, portrays that in, I think, a better way than Cavill’s did (not to say Cavill was a bad Superman or anything). Yes, Snyder deliberately went in a different direction, and I get that, but I figured I’d explain why it bothers me that Snyder did.
  3. Right--I think it's pretty clear that any tenth episode would be the documentary, and that isn't contradictory to that "story".
  4. So it's Batowman, Flash, and Superman & Lois during the traditional tv season, followed by Legends, Stargirl, and Supergirl over the summer? Good balance, I'd say.
  5. Point taken, except that I object to the exclusion of the best Superman.
  6. He was reintroduced in the silver age, and appeared in the first season of Stargirl (and is set-up to return), as well as multiple episodes of the 1990s DCAU Justice League, as well as continuing in the comics. Plus his GA covers are classics.
  7. I'd call that a strong price, for sure. And I suppose I should've assumed that there would be additional bids at the end, especially for a book like that.
  8. I really enjoyed it. It captured the tone of Superman as I perceive him to be, much the way the 1990s DCAU captured him. Looking forward to seeing where this show goes.
  9. I don't think Herb is the High Evolutionary. I think the hints are indications that the character will appear eventually, most likely in GotG 3, but not in this series. The MCU has done this before, hinting at characters well before they actually appear, and I think at this point that's all they're doing.
  10. No Vandal Savage story will ever be better than "Hereafter" from the DCAU's Justice League, and no Darkseid story will ever be better than the overall DCAU treatment of him. (In general, no DC movie treatment will ever be better than the DCAU.)
  11. There hasn't been a bid on the AF15 in ten days; I wonder if there will be a flurry at the end, or if this is the final number?
  12. Allegedly, the cameo is Martian Manhunter. Which is a bummer, b/c a lot of people know that's coming already, but still good to know.
  13. Green Lantern is the obvious answer, but maybe someone more obscure. Spectre?
  14. They were both "in" Infinity War, but not in any scenes together. So that's why it meets the criteria, I think.
  15. I mean...that's kind of absurd. Leto's Joker has for sure been my least favorite Joker, and I would've been perfectly happy to never deal with him again.
  16. Yeah I think that's definitely right. But man, it is an entertaining song.
  17. "Wet blanket"? Danvers was sarcastic and funny and generally delightful. Every time I watch the movie I like Larson's performance more and more.
  18. They were supposed to have a Market Review for Americana on Tuesday, but they canceled it because of the weather.
  19. I think the Richards one is even funnier, b/c I viewed that as more of a stretch.
