  1. That's a great point. I suspect if those copies came up now, nobody would be disappointed with the prices.
  2. I suspect a bit of both? It's trending up, so people saw a copy and got involved in a bidding war for it.
  3. HYDRA did the Sokovian altering, and Herb is a resident of Westview, complete with a driver's license. Like I said, High Evolutionary makes sense for Guardians 3, since he created Rocket and Gunn has said Guardians 3 will be focused on Rocket.
  4. I just don't buy that High Evolutionary is coming to this show. That seems like a case of speculation run amok, especially when it's much more logical for him to appear in Guardians 3.
  5. I mean, it is a game-worn jersey from the all-star game. Look, if I'm gonna spend 1.5 million, it's gonna be on a Tec 27, too, and I'm happy to attack the manufactured rarity of sports cards for new rookies who haven't done jack, but I think there's an argument that certain parts of the sports card industry have earned the prices generated, beyond just the concept that the market automatically dictates prices.
  6. I don't think that card is the best example to use. It's a Jordan auto and jersey; there's a good justification for it hitting that price, as compared to, say, one of those Zion cards.
  7. My cover is Chiefs -3. I'm pretty confident they'll cover.
  8. I mean, that one isn't the best example because Native Americans have been fighting that name for a long time. Also, I actually like the name "Washington Football Team". I still call them the Redskins sometimes, but I think WFT is kinda fun.
  9. That seems like an obvious thing to do, so it's absence suggests that they haven't done it for a reason.
  10. She was, just no driver's license along with the sheet. And either way, the lack of a scene affirmatively saying "Character X is my CI" strikes me as strange.
  11. It's also odd they didn't have Woo identify his CI when they made a point of identifying other people we'd seen on the show.
  12. It looked like Vision had been disassembled in the video footage we saw, and it’s also been five years since his corpse became available (only a week or two for Wanda, but five years for SWORD). I do not expect Wanda to have been the one to consciously raise him from the dead; I can’t get over how unnerved she was by the flash of Vision’s lifeless body in the last episode--it’s as if that was intruding on her reality.
  13. Yeah, that's my assumption at this point. Fassbender obviously works too, but McKellen is my favorite in every way. I just disagree with both of these points. We're making significant progress, and not dragging it out at all--there's been significant progress over the last two episodes. It's a television show, not a movie--we can make progress in increments.
  14. Again, this was stellar. Glad they brought the accent back. I'm still holding out hope that Ian McKellen shows up as Magneto--Peters can't be the guest that Olsen was talking about, since news of his casting had spread pretty widely.
  15. Not surprised that SDCC isn't happening. NYCC is a fall event typically, so I could see it happening, especially if Baltimore happens, since that would indicate a level of improvement in our public health situation. I'm with you on conventions roaring back--once they do, I'll be taking trips to all the big ones, and will be...spending liberally.
  16. I hope so; at least then the Strange Tales 110 cover will actually be worthwhile.
  17. I wouldn't expect to see the High Evolutionary until GoG 3. The "Herb" thing felt like a reach from people.
  18. Hmm, I think that's a reach. Yeah it kind of looks like a face, but humans are evolutionarily programmed to see faces in places where they aren't. Add in the comic book fan's constant search for clues and...yeah, I'm not buying it.
  19. So here's a book I picked up a while ago, as the first appearance of an eventual Batman Beyond villain. Quite a different look for the character, but one I enjoy anyway.
  20. Thank you, for helping me see that I'm not alone in spending a small amount of money on a pretty yet unnecessary book at the end of an auction.
  21. This was maybe a good deal, but, like, I did not need to win another book in this auction.
  22. Hopefully this price holds for a year, so I can buy it. At this price I'd do it, too.
  23. I just looked at the cover of my copy again, and it's worse than I remembered. Yeesh.
