  1. Grinder doesn't have them all yet. Men...keep a tight hold on your high grade ASM, grinder is lurking. Man the barricades, lock your doors, ah....sharpen your forks.
  2. Thanks to DKB for 2 well graded comics. I would buy his comics again any time.
  3. Even without Pitboss's imaginary books it would be 7. I would accertain that the miscount is due to looking at the cover of Spawn #1 to many times in one thread. Regardless of the exact count, the number of AF15 in the AF club threat greatly out number the number of Spawn1 in this thread. Apparantly AF15 is very common and Spawn1 is much rarer than suspected. Man I love statistics.
  4. My buy arrived from ComicGrinder today, great grades, bulletproof packing. Thanks bud, keep on grinding.
  5. Welcome to the boards. CGC was created because internet selling was becoming common and sellers often misgraded their comics. I have very few CGC graded comics but I recognize the fact that if I was buying an expensive comic on the internet a overgraded comic could cost me thousands. The restoration check that CGC performs is also invaluable. I do prefer ungraded comics and a number of board members buy graded comics and actually remove them from the CGC case.
  6. Sorry Whisppie, went through all of Pitboss's posts, all I could find was 3 blank rectangles of his 'perhaps imaginary' copies of Spawn. Perhaps the old 'lots of Spawn copies' rant is some kind of urban myth.
  7. Proof positive that Spawn #1 is almost as rare as AF15. Yes, I realize that the board members will want to fit me for a , but consider the true statistics. The AF #15 thread has scans of 43 AF #15, and our own Spawn Club thread has only 6 scans of Spawn #1. The CGC population report has 1088 copies of AF #15 graded and 2227 copies of Spawn #1 graded. Judging by these statistics Spawn #1 is almost as rare as AF15. Numbers don't lie. I feel sorry for the smuck that got a lone 5.0 copy graded. What is that copy worth? Not that he wouldn't be welcome in this uba exclusive Spawn Club!
  8. I'm working on my AF15 grail fund. Cutting back on expenses a tad, working a few hours of overtime at work. Should have enough by 2022,
  9. Ok Schmakt, how does this sound, draw a nice picture of Spawn for the Spawn club that we can all put it in our sig. line? AND you get the picture back.
  10. Yer in!! Best pile of Spawn posted so far. Careful what you show us or you may end up President of this prestigious organization.
  11. Thanks Point Five, kept my nose clean for a while but starting to get my weird sense of humour out of the closet. Just for the record I think Spawn was a great character, I'm just making fun of all the copies that are buried in our collections.
  12. Shoot me your address Now that Pitboss has been so kind as to offer you a copy you can join the club, which is good because you're already treasurer.
  13. As stated earlier, the person that purchased the least number of copies is treasurer of the club. Congrats. gilbertothetreasurerto of the club. All Hail!!
  14. Welcome to the club anyways Blob. I'm afraid you definately will not be nominated for the position of treasurer.
  15. I believe if you search superworld you will find threads that reference Ted/Superworld. If I recall correctly he overgraded a bit at one time but has tightened up and is quite a good grader.
  16. Sorry, no decoder rings. We need something more....Spawn like. Perhaps a Spawn Club picture that we can put into our signature line.
  17. Don't forget. The Spawn #1 read a long, kinda like a sing a long, Thursday 9 p.m. est.
  18. I'm wondering who on the board has the most copies of #1. That person should become President. The person with the least copies the treasurer-obviously good with $$.
  19. Only if I can spell Variant all cool with an "e" and such. Go for it. VERIENT?
