Couple of great issues that don't seem to get noticed. Perhaps because they just precede the first appearances of the Inhumans, Galactis, Silver Surfer and the Black Panther. Quite a bit of comic history in one title in one year. Both Pop Art issues, I always drink coke when I read them.

I would definately take Heath over Ditko. Heath is great.

True, gotta fudge the end of the Silver age to really include him.

I would take Neal Adams over Ditko. Don't get me wrong, Ditko Spiderman was pretty good.

FD? Frankly, Ditko wouldn't rank anywhere near 2nd place for me. He wasn't bad but....

Nice Annual #1, definately a key issue, as is #2. A lot happened in those early Marvel Annuals. Nice pick up.

I'ts called "Ditko sucks syndrome". Every once in a while a Ditko Spider-fan wakes from their trance, suddenly, to their horror, they can see Ditko for the artist he is. Ouch! How do you really feel? The OP's question gave me the greenlight, I've been waiting a long time to get that one off. I was being critical of this cover as a rare exception...and it is interesting to me that it's also a rare Ditko-Kirby collaboration...but I am a HUGE Ditko fan...he's always been in my Top 2 along with Kirby...some days I have a hard time establishing who's my No. 1 of the two... Having said that...we don't allow Ditko bashers here on our ASCT! Tom, I have a confession, I posted that comment to bait Spider-man fans. While no fan, I recognize Amazing Spider-Man as Marvels flagship title and I also have great respect for Steve Ditko. I will not resort to this type of post(baiting) again as it did not work anyway. Whoa whoa whoa, flagship title? Surely that belongs to Fantastic Four. The first of the new Marvel titles. If FF had struck out ASM and the rest would never have come about. As every new character was introduced, including Spidey, Marvel would cross them into FF or cross FF into their title to establish the new character. FF brought about Dr Doom, Galactis, Silver Surfer, the Watcher, the Submariner and the Impossible Man, what the butter cup did Spidey bring about?

Yes, I think that is the 3rd #6 purchased by a board member this week. Everyone has one but me , sniff sniff. Nice pick up, I consider 7.0 for ASM6 to be a bell ringer. Actually the book looks pretty nice for 7.0. Am I missing a flaw?

You can see it all in the popular "Show us your lizard room" thread in General! Musta missed that thread. I got pushed down by the 'show us your reading room/bathroom' and the 'show us your shag carpeting' threads. So is that you with the lizard jimbo? Dealing with people through this media I always create a mental picture of the poster based on the personality they project.
