And the last one was a tough tough choice. I picked up a few Bakers that I love and a Young Romance #1 (first romance comic by Simon and Kirby) among others. Ultimately I went with a recent purchase from @Readcomix. It was Joe Sinnot's personal copy of Marvel Tales 109 signed by Joe on the story he drew. 

Joe is one of my favorites and I'm really happy to have this little connection to him.

I would imagine it was a mutual artistic decision. Varley may not have chosen to do it but it's what was done for publication

Varley painted Silhouette....Miller added white paint for lightning

there is no question it's his back towards the reader?  

you can avoid an otherwise low universal grade by requesting the qualified grade if the book is otherwise a mid-high grade copy... sans the qualification

in other words, the book would have been high grade if not for missing piece/pages(s),wraps, married, unwitnessed writing/sig, etc
