  1. Coming from a guy who rarely posts in this thread but feels the need to try and police it, excuse me if I'm not taking your criticism and general trolling as anything but a really bad joke. Jim Horse [#@$%!!!], Jim. I would have preferred not to see a bunch of [#@$%!!!] ruining this thread with petty bickering, but apparently you have other ideas. Again, Jim, USE YOUR BRAIN. You're doing the EXACT same thing that you're person_without_enough_empathying about ME for doing. If you don't like it, then "go fist yourself." I contributed the books that I have that are germane to the thread, and now I read it whenever new books are put up. Isn't THAT what this thread is for? Between this attitude and the way you've been acting up in General, I'm going to feel very comfortable simply ignoring you and anything else you might have to say from this point on. Let me know if you ever find a way down off that high horse. (And isn't THAT ironic, that someone would accuse YOU of being on a high horse?) " "
  2. What the hell are you trying to say Sid? Honestly I don't know where you're going here. Say what you mean and try not to be cryptic about it. Might as well have used an emoticon to get your point across... Jim Time to take your Midol, Jim. Sid was making a fine point. If you aren't even AWARE of what's going on, then maybe you should just sit down and shut the [#@$%!!!] up.
  3. Why do you care so much? How is it affecting you? If you don't like it, don't use it but don't presume others should share your view. [#@$%!!!] about something of substance. person_without_enough_empathying about the use of an emoticon, not directed at you, makes you seem like you have nothing better to do than simply [#@$%!!!]. Jim Christ almighty, Jim. I mean, talk about ironic... that was stupidly ironic, actually. I hope you were kidding.
  4. No offense but you are an insufficiently_thoughtful_person with much more money than brains. It's a special issue of which only true connoiseurs of comic books are aware. I got a hg copy & Miller's art in it sucks. Nothing special about it. I'll give you $110 for it.

  6. I wish Arch would get rid of that stupid emoticon. It seems that it's everyone's graphic of choice when they're too limp-brained from reading the intellectual compost piles that pass for posts here to actually form a thought of their own. Is that ironic? Probably. Will one (or several) of you dimbulbs follow this up with that very emoticon? Probably. Will it be funny? No.
  7. Actually, I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we WILL ALL BE HAPPY if deathlok leave. Now. But you really can't speak for everyone can you, sterling. You can only speak for your actions, which are not very favorable. I am not going anywhere, so deal with it. You need to remember how to have fun here.
  8. I was wondering if anyone would mention this. If this movie falls anywhere between Sixth Sense & The Ring, then I'll be one happy movie-watcher! Thanks for all the posts, Sterling, & please post some of your newly-graded books when you get 'em in! Can't wait to see 'em! The trailer creeps me out! I think I posted about this up in General a month or two ago...
  9. That's a chunk of change right there. Well, maybe for you...
  10. Cute story, but I say total BS. Gotta give the guy credit for creativity though. Stories do sell. They help comics sell too. Just look at many pedigrees. The one time I had a little (and yes, true) story accompany one of my comic auctions, the book sold for WELL more than what it was worth (a beat up EC Modern Love). The people running the auction were on the Today show this morning... I don't think it's "BS", as they seem to be genuinely surprised that the stupid thing is selling for this much money. I feel bad for the family, really, because their kid just sounds like he's whacked in the head and would benefit more from psychiatric therapy than an exorcism.
  11. Don't listen to Greggy... he becomes overly aggressive when he's feeling insecure about the quality of his sweet, sweet DC's.
  12. Alex, Cool, all my submits were after 1975 so they should all slide into the Modern tier then I think CGC's turnaround times for moderns have improved somewhat haven't they? I would expect sometime in late January/early February then - sound about right? And don't feel so bad about bending just one of my books - I specifically looked for all yours and hit them with my sledgehammer - instant 'pressing' Drew Drew, Right now they are on a 3-4 month turnaround. I'm still waiting from some books from San Diego (late July). Wouldn't that be pushing a 5 month turnaround (and counting)?
  13. Let's see you buy 75 comics at once and not expect a deal! Let's see YOU buy 75 comics at once!
  14. Don't worry, I'll just keep killing Beyonder every time he asks for more.
  15. Chapter 137 - "The Untimely and Untragic End of Fluffy The Gripper (aka The Beyonder)" His stomach gurgling, Fluffy The Gripper silently slid down into one of the available La-Z-Boy recliners to rest his weary, yet impossibly oversized, head. Suddenly, various pianos and buckets full of rusty nails fell from the sky, crushing Fluffy The Gripper and giving his freshly-dead corpse tetanus. Fifteen minutes later, after it was agreed that no more time was needed for mourning, everyone stuffed his body full of candy and hung him from a tree so that the younger ones could hit him with sticks. He was later set on fire. And then they buried him at the bottom of the ocean which was also later set on fire. The End (of Fluffy The Gripper)
  16. Kudos to WOOGIE! For a speedy and painless transaction! I'm going to him EVERY time I need a kidney from now on!
  17. Just what are you implying? Just wait... the hacks at Wizard read these threads...
  18. I've been secretly hoarding PC books for the last couple years... it was so easy because they were SO CHEAP. So much for that.
  19. Sorry, I should have clarified... search Comics General for "Shaken Slab Syndrome" and "Shaken Comic Syndrome" and "SCS" and "SSS". Search in the last three weeks and you should find a great deal of information.
