  2. 4.5 if the tear is on the cover only, less if it affcts the inside pages. It will display well in a mylar.
  3. I have no dog in the fight but the Sgt. blasting away in the last panel of #81 certainly looks like the Rock I remember.
  4. I was at 3.0 before the stain, and dropped it to a 2.5 after. Stains kill otherwise HG books, but are just another blemish on books like this.
  5. I love Perez as an artist but many of his Titans and Crisis covers were way too busy for me.
  6. All together now, 1-2-3..... GET OFF OF MY LAWN!
  7. Very nice collection. Is the safe deposit room climate controlled 24-7? I took me a lot of research to find one on LI that is. Tempature swings are what kills paper and while most banks control the temp during working hours, it is often shut off on weekends. If your vault is 70 during the week but drops to 50 on winter weekends, that swing is not healthy. Selecting the right vault for your comics is complicated.
  8. With big tears on two or more pages, I can't call it a VG so I'd give it 3.5. I know it is harsh but there are thousands of copies in VG without those rips. If I bought this as a VG, and saw the tears I'd be miffed. A clean and press won't heal those scars.
  9. How strange is it that mystery boxes are so popular here, but banned the rest of the year.
  10. I was entering tenth grade and thinking comics weren't kool any more. Then I saw this book.
  11. I'm going to mix it up a bit. My offer is this. The person will get to choose one of eight Marvel Omnibi and in addition to that book they will receive a half a dozen trade paperbacks and a few comics related to the book chosen. I'm sorry but this will be domestic shipping only, and unlike past performances, this will ship in very timely manner.
  12. This week, I started selling a few items on the bay after a three-year hiatus. I listed a dozen items and sold a few so far. My question is simple and I can't believe I can't find it on ebay help. When I use print shipping labels using eBay shipping, it prints out my old Nevada address. It's not a big deal unless a package needs to get returned. Can someone point out where I can change the address? I'm just not finding it. Thanks.
  13. Out of curiosity, does Heritage apply any sort of means testing before you are allowed to bid on books like this? Could I place a thrill bid of 1.2 million without showing that I could pay?
  14. No matter how you file, you can't deduct expenses for the last thirty years.
