  1. I'm offering some undercopies of my Marvel Variant hoard; All are bagged and in a mylar or a Mylite2. None were originally bought by me and I have no idea what may have been done to them before I got them. None have been pressed since I bought them. Shipping is $10 for one book, $15 for more than one and FREE with $150 in purchases. Domestic Only. Paypal, personal check, or Zelle accepted. Returns accepted in a timely manner. I don't deal with people on "the List". I'll take it in the thread trumps anything else. No deal is complete until it is posted in the thread. 1) Amazing Spiderman 155 4.5 $75 2) Avengers 146 3.5 $35 3)Avengers 147 3.5 $35 4)Avengers 148 4.0 $35
  2. I called back, spoke to the same person who told me he had asked someone else about it and we came to a solution. I'm creating my own label and emailing it to him, in essence shipping it to myself . The rep said 98% of their lots sell locally and some auctions it is 100%.
  3. My experiance, as well. I've got it down pat, so it takes about ten seconds but it is annoying.
  4. No, as I said it's a small auction house. Mostly they do live auctions with very little stuff needing to be shipped.
  5. It's a small auction house that occasionally has some steals so I prefer not to disclose their name. They don't specialize in either comics or cards but do get collections in. Until recently, they weren't on many peoples radar so I'd get some steals. Last year I got a TTA 35 for under $100 and a Superman 78 for $15.
  6. No, because it rarely came to more than three or five dollars and wasn't worth bringing up. Last week, they charged me 1.87 for insuring a package worth $224. I'm not going to waste the persons time complaining about a sum like that.
  7. I'd have no problem paying a major auction house with a check. I doubt comic link is going to fold up their tents and abscound with your funds.
  8. I've been buying a few things from an small out of state auction house for a few months. I think I've bought from about ten auctions and my biggest invoice was less than $500. Last week they had a decent run of SA comics and I ended up winning Daredevil 1,3,4,5,6, Spiderman 16, 17 and a few other books. The winning bids came to just over $3,000. I get an invoice overnight and they added $137 fto insure the package. I just got off the phone with them and they won't waive it even though I can send them a copy of my own insurance which covers any shipping. They added a 16% premium ,which I expected, but then they charged $1.50 per $100 on the premium amount ,as well. Talking to the guy on the phone, I got the feeling they don't actually take out insurance, they just self insure.
  9. If they accept personal checks, that is the way to go. A wire transfer can get expensive.
  10. Imagine being able to ship 1,000 comics for $19.95. Thats at least three long boxes, although I'm not sure if the comic box had been invented yet.
  11. They are getting better at fixing their mistakes. although they seem to be getting better at making them.
  12. I dont grade higer than 9.2 and I give it that.
  13. How long did it take the magic slab to transform the off-white pages into pure white ones? Has anyone researched to see if this is a one off or can it be that resting a few years in a sacred slab can produce mior miracles like this?
  14. Can I get the date of the next meetup and the routes people will be taking to and from the meeting?
  15. If a few more members start consigning to them, maybe the boards will rate their own liason.
