The total charged to my paypal was $38 and included my $2 donation to charity- which wasn't refunded. What would it cost him in fees to refund $36? Would he have been hit with fees if I canceled two minutes in?

This was one of the most exasperating experiences I've had in close to twenty years on the bay. I bought a nice run of vintage baseball cards and was shopping for some big boxes to store them. I order them from a place ,and within seconds realize I want one size larger- I look for a phone number but it isn't in the ad so I cancel the order with ebay, saying I ordered the wrong item, intending to order the right items when I'm refunded. Details deleted as I had a number of pms asking about the particular seller. I'd delete the whole thread if possible. Would you blast him, thank him for the quick refund, or not leave anything. I assume I can still leave feedback even after the refund.

Don't be jealous. Learn from them. What do they do that you don't. What books are a waste of time, what books just got hot. Almost every week, I read on these boards about a book that suddenly gets hot, and I go looking to see if I have it. I had a Marvel Spotlight in my $1 box that for a few weeks was a $50 book. Anyways, best of luck. Keep trying and keep learning. The alternative sux.

I'm selling my collection. It wasn't a warehouse of inventory. The only " stock" I had was maybe a dozen boxes of moderns I picked up for nothing. So far, it is my under copies of SA books, a bunch of BA and some Schomburg covers. The majority was sold through MCS, some was consigned to two friends, some was sold here and some on Craig's list. FF2, a few in the single digits, a bunch below 60, Hulk, 3.5,6, Daredevil2, 7 and a bunch of others. It's not about location as where I live in Cochise County Arizona is three hours south of nowhere. Donut could buy a small country with the proceeds from his raw sales on ebay. I don't want to fight with you. It appears you have not had good success selling raw books. I don't know what you are trying to sell but I'd suggest you find some successful sellers and compare and contrast your selling to theirs. Figure out what they do to succeed and copy it. I hate ebay. In fact I'm about to go on a rave against it over in Comics General.

I've sold over $100,000 so far this year. A wild guess would be about $6,000 were graded.

Any payment sent by check doesn't pay the 3% fee. It's only on credit card and paypal purchases. I've started paying them by Zelle, with no fees. It seems that if they pay a fee, it gets passed on. If they don't incur a fee, they don't charge one. That's my observation, not a definitive answer.

Burn away. I hope people burn their copies of Marvel Special Edition 15. Every book you burn just makes mine more valuable.

I guess it comes down to do you want a consigner who will give your books better grades or one that gets you more money?

It's an age old business model. They lose money on every sale, but make it up with their volume.

That's not really important. What is important is did they get the price they were expecting.

They mail you a check or if you want to pay paypal fees, they can deposit it into your paypal account. They pay out once a week.

The buyers premium only applies to paypal and credit cards. If you pay by zelle or check, there s no buyers fee.

I hit the try again, which never works but then when I hit refresh it works half the time. try again, refresh=50% try again, refresh, try again is good about a quarter of the time. After that, I do something for a few minutes and try again.

If you decide to build something homemade, be sure to test it out fully loaded before you set up. I've seen some horrific accidents because somebody put something together and didn't bother to give it a shakedown cruise. There is nothing like placing twenty five slabs on a display only to have it collapse under the weight, or somebody reaching for a book and having the display crash and burn.

If you look up a book, you get their inventory. If you are lucky, someone is selling a copy in an auction. If so, just click on the auction book and at that point you can look at all of MCS's sales on the book, in every grade. If no book is currently being auctioned, you can search past auctions for a copy and do the same thing. There may be an easier way but that is how I do it.

Conan Judge Dredd might rescue you but then sentence you to ten years for some minor infraction. I've never read the comic, but as seen on the show The Boys, I wouldn't trust some of them.

I had a book where the outer cover was a 7.0, the inside was a 8.5 but the overall grade was a 6.0 due to rips on the interior pages.
