  1. Kudos to Hammacher Schlemmer. Several years ago I was suffering from plantar facistis or whatever its called. Its a very painful foot injury that feels like you are walking on pins and needles. I bought this device from hammacher that was supposed to help if you wore it while watching tv or resting. It was slightly effective but the pain didn't go away until I found the right inserts to put in my shoes. About two weeks ago, I refound this device after it sat in the back of a drawer for a few years. Remembering H@S offered a lifetime warranty on everything, I called them and the operator was able to locate the order number and which credit card I had used. She gave me a return authorization number and today I recieved a full credit for an item I bought at least five years ago
  2. you DID tell me to go play in traffic, now deny it. I wished I had bookmarked that thread, but did not. I am no one's fool. Don't ever forget that. I have my reasons for my zany banter here, and you can be a good part of this, or continue with your nonsense. I would NEVER step in a strip club anyway. never needed to, never will. CAL with certain standards I'm not denying it. I don't recall saying it and it doesn't sound like anything I would say, but who am I to argue with a boy who remembers every slight, real or imagined, that may or may not have occurred in his lifetime. I happen to like traffic. Why I would punish it by having you go play with it makes littles sense.
  3. Cal is an attention whore. He can get it here or he can go to his strip club and wave $50 bills around. Either way, he gets played for a sucker.
  4. The coinees have not done anything to me, why don't YOU go over there and entertain them? As you once told me, "go play in traffic". CAL who openly does not care for shad... .....but happily sends me his money whenever I offer an Iron Man and Submariner #1 for sale. As I've no wish to engage a person with such obvious mental problems, I should really put you on ignore, only I get such a kick out of reading your rambling non-sequiturs. Just for the record, Cal- I'm laughing at you, not with you. I honestly don't remember telling you to go play in traffic. I can't imagine what traffic might have done that I would wish you upon it.
  5. Dear Cal, This was so spectacular, I think you should continue posting these at least twice a day. Make that thrice a day. Perhaps you could expand these to the coin forums as well.
  6. I also prefer the CC model over the Link or eBays. An auction should end when there is one one bidder left.
  7. If you are bidding on Avenger 4 and want to bid on Avengers 5 if you lose, you are in trouble, but if your fallback is Avengers 25, you'll be fine.
  8. If I remember correctly thats when Kevin or Peter sold the original artwork for the entire TMNT 1 issue. Quite frankly I would definitely rather have that than a copy of action 1 or detective 27. If you can't find original art you can always use this... Man, I remember when the variant white cover of that book sold for $25 a pop. Now its not even listed in the PG. IMO that's what you want for this comic to wind up in the "dollar bin" . So they get bent up and flipped through. Then in a few years they are hard to find in high grade... ...I watched it happen with Marvels G.I. Joe. Ssshhhhhh..... Loose lips sink ships.

  10. There was a thread about an ashcan edition an artist that worked for Mirage or Tundra distributed to close friends that was an adults only book with nudity and some sex, as I recall.
  11. What are those? Comics Peter Laird drew while in school. If memory serves me, one of the characters in them was Wyrm, but he was a good guy. I've never seen them,or even a scan of them so I guess they are pretty rare.
  12. Are you looking for crossovers from the first series only? I'm looking for early Turtles appearences. They don't need to be crossovers, per say, but comics in which one or more Turtle appear prior to them going to Archie. I've listed the three I'm aware of, but am looking for any others. Any early Eastman/Laird work would be great, as well.
  13. DS claims that all Gold Keys from that era have Whitman counter-parts
  14. Without reading all 32 pages of this thread, is there a site that list the various Turtle appearences in other books? I know they are Miami Mice #4, and there is a pinup in Colt #2, as well as what I believe is there first color appearence in an issue of Grimjack, but are there others before the Archie series?
  15. Maybe Cal will do it on his pay to play forum
  16. No way. It was cool, but "The kid who collected Spider-Man" was more powerful. Different strokes and all that nonsense.
  17. It was one of the most moving stories I've read in a comic. So much better than "The kid who collected Spider-Man". Thanks.
  18. Its a back up story about a homeless girl who is a Spiderman fan. I forget all the details, but she dreams that she is friends with Spidey and he takes he swinging around town. Story ends with her freezing to death.
  19. A first year membership in my blackjack forum is $300. You also have to be nominated by a paying member and pass muster. Keeps out the nuts and the tire-kickers. One of our rivals charges $40, has many more members and much more strife and stress.
  20. Theres an old poker saying- There is a sucker at every table. If you are playing a half an hour and have not found the sucker, odds are it is you. You've got to love it when one of the most destructive and devisive people in forum history lectures us about the problems of the forum.
  21. When Cal is seen as a voice of reason, you know this thread has jumped the shark.
  22. The fact that they bought pallets of books that were noted as destroyed has nothing to do with them being inked. Lots of books that were supposed to have been destroyed ended up being sold on the secondary market- Mile High 2 being the most public example. In the 80s, most of the stuff sold by koch and Dolgoff had these distributor markings, it wasn't uncommon for distributors to cheat the companies and sell stock they swore was destroyed.Think this thru and give me one reason why a distributor would mark books like this, after they were supposedly destroyed.
