I do the same. What's your method for reusing them? Do you put a book in with a bag and board or do you some something more fancy? Bag with a mylite or mylar. Nothing fancy.

I'll buy some slabbed books if they are really cheap and crack them open just to reuse the shells.

Mycomicshop allows people who consign to set their own prices. Many set crazy prices for whatever reason. When speaking about MCS's prices, you have to distinguish between the prices they put on books and what a consigner does.

On the one hand you are claiming to be a small time hustler, but then you say if I see anyone wearing a fake Submariner, chances are you sold it. At least you aren't selling crack, right? You say alibaba has to stop selling this sort of stuff if it ever wants to go legit, but seem to think its okay for you to sell them. Its a victimless crime. Right? Somebody would sell them anyway so why not you. Its a dumb law anyway.

A Rolex or any other similar watch is a status symbol. Why anyone would want a fake status symbol is beyond me. It would be kool to have ten grand to blow on a watch, but I think its stupid to try and pass off a fake as anything but a fake.. Anyone who knows anything about Rolexes and their movements will spot a fake in a heartbeat. I recently saw a house where the owner put up a fake brickfront ten feet on either side of the front, so as you drive down the road, the house appears to be twenty feet wider than it really is. I imagine that for the same money, he could have added a real room to the house. How insecure can you get. Each and every day, I appreciate the time my parents took to instill in me the ability to recognize right from wrong and to do the right thing. I can only hope my kids learned their lessons too.

I think the Legion really lost their way in the post-Crisis/post-Byrne Superman reboot era. They were no longer as relevant to the DC Universe, as suddenly we had to start explaining who that Superboy was and what was he doing in the future (if there never was a Superboy to begin with). I've picked it up over the years -- the Great Darkness Saga, the baxter reboot, the Legionnaires (because I love Chris Sprouse's art), but it was just so overly convoluted. The series leading up to the Baxter series was great. The first few issues of that series were fantastic. Karate Kids death, Projecta beating the guy that even Superboy couldn't take one on one, the mystery behind Sensor Girl, and even the Death of Superboy, but then the endless rebooting and destruction of earth(s) took its toll on me. The Legion of three worlds was good, but the followup wasn't.

At the time, the Legion was the second most popular book DC had. It was one of the first, if not the first, regular series to get the Deluxe format,and it was one of only two DC books that was published twice a month. Not really sure where it all went wrong, but the last dozen reboots have been sad.

Which story arcs would make a good movie? The Death of Superboy would, but I cant see them leading with that. Shooters first arc, with the Kund invasion perhaps? Who would make good villains for the piece? Fighting the Legion of Super-Villains would be too confusing. For a group that was great for fifty years, they don't really have all that many great story lines
