  1. maybe a time period of six months after this scandal was revealed is a better time to compare the two. instead of the three weeks, that this scandal is currently sitting at.
  2. Same color loss by the building in both books. So my thought it was cleaned/pressed before the new custom label doesn't seem as feasible.
  3. Well said. However, it may be really tough to nail it down to the one person suspected. I'm pretty sure that it's all about "who" is sending these listed books in. Here is the AF 15, as it is now. https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/1589872002/ I'm going to send Mike some screen captures, from 2020, that show an AF 15 6.5 yellow, with a price tag on it, in a different yellow holder than the custom label shown in the grading notes. The site that was captured on appears to be incredibly relevant. Clearly both note the same "Stan Lee 86" notation. Both books have the same 2-3 major spine dings, especially the one close to "MAY" The cert # is not legible enough, but all things considered, there are telling signs that they are the same, still, after the custom label. Both books are clearly not autographed on the front cover So the big question is, why was it sent in for a reholder/custom label, if the cert # is in fact still the same?? There are 3 times a 6,5 has been graded yellow. Only 5 other higher graded books have been graded yellow.
  4. The only way the list of books to watch out for would not dwindle down is if CGC does not update it. Understood. Just keep in mind that after 3 weeks, many of us are completely, 100% convinced that this current list could not be a complete list of the books involved.
  5. Can you expound on this a bit? Obviously, you're not going to give any info on who listed the two books that I noted to you yesterday were on the list, and listed on your site. I wouldn't argue that you should. Sure, it would be nice to know the general area he is from. Sure, it would be nice to know if you've read the thread, and seen that there are connections that have been sent to CGC Mike that could almost certainly tie this to the Forest Hills area. But have you had some conversation with CGC on why these books are all on the list, and why do you think that you're able to say that they should come off? Enough to say that you think that they should come off the list?
  6. The announcement also allowed for the possibility of more books, since no one can be certain that there are not undiscovered swapped books out there: "If you have any questions, or if you believe you have a tampered book that is not on our list, please reach out to us at ReportFraud@CollectiblesGroup.com." I suspect that the list will be "fluid" in both directions. CGC did not say it was an exhaustive list. Cool. So I guess this time that we are in agreement that comiclink couldn't possibly know that the list will slowly dwindle down from what it is now.
  7. No, I'm pretty sure that comiclink has confirmed that this is THE list, and that it will be shrinking as quickly as humanly possible.
  8. That's a beautiful looking copy. Are there any "Qualified" CGC sales of this book with a page or pinup missing that you can identify and possibly find an image for it? There is at least one other book from the same submission, also an FF, #12, on the list. It may just be suspicion by association.
  9. This one is also on the list @COMICLINK @ComicLink Rick https://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fcgcitems.asp%3Fid%3D3884%26Graded%3D%26pg%3D11%26x%3D38%26y%3D13&id=1666659

  11. I think people might be seeing the same thing in the top right corner as what the scanner makes look like is happening at the bottom of the "U" in Hulk. That's not on the Heritage scan either.
  12. I don't know about you, but I've seen a number done on an ASM 129 recently, that gave me the same gag reflex.
  13. This was my assessment. What if zaneglor used a scan from before it was cleaned and pressed? He puts the book back in the slab, and gets it reholdered. Maybe he reholdered it, and then played around with it?
  14. Maybe I'm missing something? It's clearly the same book but has also clearly been pressed. How would this happen without CGC grading it again? Don't want to say too much yet.
