  1. I came across two ASM 129's recently. One of them was a 9.6 and the other one was a 9.8. In each of their graders notes, it says slight crushing of spine.
  2. if you were so on the target with this, I'm having a hard time figuring out why they would've ever bothered to start including scans of the comic books with the graders notes.
  3. he definitely did mention the fact that he had been messaging months before. The other thing that I found telling, back when I heard him, say that, was that there was a point where he noted that sometimes, the communication seemed very intelligent, and other times it seemed like he was communicating with someone that wasn't quite as intelligent.
  4. what is more troubling to me, is that statement that says it APPEARS that they may have sold switched books, perhaps unwittingly. I don't believe I have seen one indication, on anything online, that indicates that they sold switched books, unwittingly or not. At this point, there is more evidence that comiclink sold a book that had been switched, than there is that this store did.
  5. and that's why I asked you, what books you were talking about. The books that were swapped out, so far no one has been able to document that they were in their store. when you quoted me, that was part of what I said.
  6. some of the books are on the list. The problem is, that many of the books on the list are being cleared. So saying that the store is somehow connected to this, without any proof, that any of the books they have had, that are on the list, were sold fraudulently, could be a legal issue.
  7. some of what books? Four or five-year-old yellow signatures series labels, that show up on their Instagram accounts, or amazing Spider-Man 252 slabs, where a lower grade copy was inserted into a 9.8 label slab? so far, there is no evidence that there is something wrong with any comic book that has been shown they sold. it will really suck if they take legal action, that gets everything shut down.
  8. yes, and that's exactly what I said. What I also said, is that so far no one has tied that store to any of the books where there is a different comic book inside of a holder. That's why, at this point attaching them to this scam is premature.
  9. this is what we are trying to avoid. I have not seen any evidence yet, that they may have sold switched books, unwittingly, or not, and you may be inviting a lawsuit.. all I have seen, is that they seem to have had books in their possession, many years ago, that are now on CGC's list.
  10. If I’m looking at the right Instagram page, this pic is interesting…. I could be funny and name 4-5 guys that post photos like that here.
  11. Not that I've seen yet. If somebody can track down a scan of the original label yellow JIM 8.0, that would be helpful. Note: There is not one SS copy of this book (JIM 85) with a sale date on GPA. Not ONE.
  12. Why would you buy anything in the near future without giving it the 3rd degree? The 10th degree? Look at everything else in the submission, and see if it smells bad to you. Buy things conditionally. Make people aware of the issue.
  13. That doesn't make sense. Comicwiz has put a monumental amount of work in to this. Maybe you're not aware of how staggering it is. He has urged patience, and I agree with his thoughts.
  14. I don't know. I've already seen a photo of the owner of the shop, at a con, with the JIM in the background, from @ 5 years ago. It had the new label then.
  15. I follow you. Maybe a better scan of the earlier yellow label from 2013 will show up. I don't know if the buyer has one, because he said he bought it quite a while ago, in person. I think it had the new label on it, by the time that he bought it. I hate to add to his stress level. @Crimsonira
  16. I don't follow your reasoning. Here are the notes. What are you saying could be part of the scam? https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/0117152009/
  17. It could be someone that quickly realized who this was, maybe even from the nameless case i laid out almost two weeks ago, figured it out, knew he bought the AF 15 from him and contacted CGC about it. Who knows for sure?
  18. The list came out on the 3rd though right? He’d have had to see the list and overnight the book immediately to have it graded on the 5th. Possible I guess… Maybe some people were made aware of the list before it was public knowledge.
