This is not what I said. And the fact that you either know that I didn't say that, or are unable to distinguish what I said is the problem.

Am I the only one seeing sane, reasonable, rational RMA? Are the boards so mentally deficient that they can only bleat, "two legs bad, four legs good" regardless of the data that is right in front of their eyes? All of the negatives posted about RMA in this thread (let's stick to this thread for the moment) have been negative "proofs" about an RMA that doesn't really exist anymore. Is RMA perfect? Certainly not. But he is a far cry from the circus fun house mirror that many boardies would have other boardies believe he is. And a far more rational man that deserves better than he's getting.

This, my friends, is as example of the successful rehabilitation of the convicted and their subsequent reintegration into society.

I recently urged him to start posting again hoping that you're exactly right about him changing...and then last week he started. First thread I saw him in was a back-and-forth with Hellblazer where neither would shut up until the other relented. Most of the thread is pulled now, and I quickly realized nothing had really changed that I can tell so far. This is my reply to your post, just so you don't feel that I'm intentionally ignoring you.

RMA doesn't need me to defend him, but he is my friend. So one final thought. Just because you (universal you; this applies to many board members) haven't grown as an individual over the last five years of your board history doesn't mean others have not. I've talked to him numerous times, but I don't continue talking to people who think every discussion is a debate they're uncontrollably compelled to win. I avoid a number of people in most forums for that reason. You say you've "given up" talking to him, suggesting it is his moral failing, not your own, yet you continue to find opportunities to talk ABOUT him. I'm not really looking for a reply here- just making an observation. More, talking about you, if you will.

Having been subjected to a few years of watching RMA talk I can say that he ALWAYS kicks when he talks. Everyone's. His conversational style is about like that of a overly-excitable pitbull on crack. And that's why he has to hold himself back from talking. If you spent as much time talking TO him as you do ABOUT him, you would know that isn't true. I find you tiresome.

Agreed. Come in here and fall on your sword and tell the truth. It takes a ton of courage to admit you are wrong and own up to it. It takes nothing to cut and run. What if you're never wrong and don't lie? Then it's treefiddy.
