  1. Thrill Book 1919 The one that I won at Heritage!
  2. Just picked this one up. I thought initially that there was only one Canadian pulp that featured the Green Ghost after the US title was cancelled (Thrilling mystery that I posted above). However I was wrong when I came across this one that also features that green ghost!
  3. These are some of mine! I do not have very many of them.
  4. Not accurate! There were 677 unique bidders with 93 different winning bidders. I know the people who won the bigger books, many different bidders!
  5. I received Strasser pulps from 2 different sources, not necessarily dealers. Although had a dealer brought me Strasser's from a personal collection, I would not reveal the source!!
  6. A few Windy City Pickups Masked Rider #1 (Actually is the first Marvel Superhero .. published by Martin Goodman, publisher of Timely comics ..5 yeas before Marvel Comics #1)...Strasser Pedigree Strasser Strasser very seldom do you see these, especially in ultra high grade especially from 1932 File Copy! File Copy! Rare Canadian Edition revising the Green Ghost in nice shape..classic cover! Rare Canadian edition with a classic cover in high grade! 1928 Mystery Stories in HG 1918 Cartoons with GREAT cover Strasser copy of Clues: The Head in the Parachute!
  7. I should've stated this in the original post; The character on the cover and in the story was the "Green Ghost Detective". He appeared in Thrilling Mystery after his individual pulp series was cancelled.
  8. These aren't too bad either! Popular detective goes without saying as being a great cover, and both the US and Canadian versions of 10 story mystery.

  10. Not sure if this would be considered shudder or not! Just picked this up from a collector in Canada. One of the coolest pulp covers I've seen in a long time.

  12. Here are the remainder of the books from Pulpfest that I had shipped out. A few more Detective Tales on the way.
  13. Canadian edition of the Black Hush in high grade to go with my American copies.
  14. BOOM!! Just acquired this nice copy of Shadow #1 for my personal collection! Walter Gibson bought the Shadow 1 off the newsstand and then eventually gave it to either Thurston's or Blackstones lawyer. It then went to another private collector for a year or two, and then to Anthony Tollin ... and then to me. It is signed by Walter Gibson to boot!! This newly acquired copy will go well with my Canadian Shadow #1, which is also signed by both Walter gibson and John Nanovic!! Can't quite get the right colour on it as the pictures come out little bit of a background with a pinkish hew instead of off-white in the background.
  15. Pulpfest Pickups - another 20 on their way. Bulls-Eye Western " Strasser" copy -precursor to Mavericks Strasser copy of argosy 1916 all story with Tarzan one of the toughest issues to find next to the 1912 copy!
  16. Finally was able to complete a trade and acquire the last of the three (3 of 3) "Black Hood /Hooded Detectives that I needed, and was able to also acquire (in the same trade) all three rare Canadian editions to go with them (Sure-Fire Detective) in high grade ... to boot!! Of course, I acquired the three Sure-Fire Detective's and the one Black Hood Detective from Doug (Pulp Vault) on a trade, in which I sent him a beautiful cloth advertising pulp banner from the 1920s, that I just acquired, and a couple of other things. Below is Doug's write-up about the Pulps that he posted earlier on Facebook:
  17. Wow Doug, Great copy, great condition, and great provenance! This along with many other ghost stories are highly desired, especially this particular one because of Howard!
