Okay, I admit I have a vested interest in this speculation.  From the DC comics that will shine the brightest / be a potential multi-bagger in the coming 2 to 3 years - Wonder Woman #204 (1st Appearance of Nubia) is high on my watch list.

Why...Because there's a very strong possibility that the DCEU has BIG PLANS for Nubia and that she'll be featured prominently in the upcoming Wonder Woman #3 movie.

For you CGC collectors, the census shows there are currently only (5) copies of WW #204 in CGC 9.8 Universal Blue out of a population of 247 graded copies.  That means just 2% of the CGC population of WW #204 are in 9.8 condition.  Which equates to a dramatic imbalance of low supply vs high demand for this puppy in the CGC 9.8 grade.

Following the path of other very scarce CGC 9.8 Bronze Age books (Marvel Spotlight #5, Heroes for Hire #1, Strange Tales #169, etc) this issue has what I hope / believe to be a bright future once the news is official about Nubia joining the DCEU.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I just came across this. I agree with you here. I believe this book has the potential to become the next Shazam 28.  DC is changing things up.  Gorgeous copy by the way.

  2. Not planning on having this book slabbed, but I always loved this throwback cover and want a decent grade raw copy for my collection.  I can't put my finger on how much the manufacturing defect I am curious about affects the overall grade.

By Mary Marvel's skirt, and by the bottom of the lightning bolt it seems the black ink didn't cover the yellow underneath. It is very obvious.  How much does this defect pul the grade down?

Otherwise, there is a spine tic by the middle of the "C" in Captain Marvel Junior, and also some funkiness in the middle of the spine on the back of the book.

I am more concerned on your opinions as to the color defect on the cover. Thanks!!

Glad I’m not alone in the Value boat… CCS has been pressing my books since April…

That is too much. Were the books "Received at CCS" in April?  Are the submissions still marked as "Received at CCS"?

Hopefully, they have a heart and grade them quickly post-pressing.

It's just not right that their priority isn't getting the oldest books out.

    New Batman looks great.

Nobody cares about Black Adam, BUT they do care about the Rock.  They cast the right star for this to be a win for DC.

Right on. I wouldn’t be surprised if Black Adam becomes the number one character for the next generation of superhero / comic fans this movie will create. The Rock draws in more movie goers than any other actor. Besides that the teasers look amazing.
