That's printing, not fading. But yes, color differences also fail to inspire confidence in its legitimacy.
So you're saying there's a chance 😁

The thing that caught my eye quickly, was that the “#1 collector’s item issue” artwork seems to be more faded on the second cover as though it has seen more light exposure than the outside cover, which doesn’t make sense if it has been covered by the outer cover all this time. Someone else can let me know if I’m wrong...
As I was taking the pictures I noticed that as well. When I purchased this book I didn't know much about double covers and how to identify fakes.....or for that matter that a person could or would go thru the trouble of creating one. The boardies teach me something everyday.....wow.

Let's just say that, if I had to bet, I wouldn't be betting on it being manufactured like that.
You’re probably right....I’m beginning to think that I’ve been had by this guy as well. If I’m not mistaken I paid around $160 for this book.

Those are some big holes around the staple, that woul happen to an inner cover, if staples were popped to add a cover and reattached....
Experts will be along soon I hope....
That's what I was thinking when I pulled it out and started to re-examine it....Thx

Hello & thank you for stopping in today we will be listing a lot of Golden Age, Silver Age & Bronze Age Comics!!! All of the books that you see are from a original owner which was my wife’s father! He bought these high grade books fresh off the news stands threw out his childhood threw adulthood!! All of them are in high grade as he was a very picky guy when it came to books.

Whenever I see a seller who's only been a Ebay user for a few months start off listing these high dollar books and at that volume...….the red flag immediately goes up.

Spine looks pretty rough to be calling it a 9.0
I swear this is the reason I'm moving further and further away from using Ebay. Over the past few years I have gradually moved to just using a handful of sellers.....and those guys are mainly boardies…..(hints) how I found out about the boards.

Let's see the book.
I'll see if I can find it....This was maybe a year and half or two years ago. After that purchase I never used them again.

After seeing a ton of double covers, I know that the positioning of the artwork and the cut of each cover are usually identical to one another.
I purchased a double cover from them a while back...….you guys have me wondering if I need to go back and examine that copy closer

Thank you, I have now added this person to my blocked list as well.
-slymI purchased a few books from them a few years back.....they were no where near the grade that they were listed at. I just direct messaged them to make them aware of the mistake. Little did I know....

I also want to make a note that if I were to come across another graded book I really want, I will sell one of the other 16. The goal is to always have only 16. it makes you weigh the importance of a purchase. Prevents you from buying just because. You really have to think about it

Thanks Andy.....you live and learn. Lucky for me this was my first and only purchase from this guy. The worst thing is he'll continue doing similar deeds to unsuspecting collectors. As a comic book hobbyist, you have to continually educate yourself...…..or you will eventually get got.
