I don't think it's manufacturing......it's almost like a scratch ....but I don't know......I'd say like a 4.5 although slabbed comes back a 5.0 I'd suspect.

If it was graded as is.....it probably comes back higher based on how they grade these days....I'm guessing..

So we have a slight crease running thru the Marvel logo....Some stress lines on the spine....some edge wear along the top...several finger bends on the front also.....The back appears to have that wrinkle thing going on up and down the back cover........hard to see unless you move a light around. Maybe that was going on a little too on the front cover along with a couple of creases. P.S. Thanks for all your help as this was very informative and has helped me try to get a handle on grading these books between 6.5 to 9.0

There is some edge wear along the top edge on the cover....a few very minor stress lines on the spine....A very slight crease ? Going thru the M in Marvel on the cover....it slightly transfers to the inside cover but does not impact the splash page.....On the back along the middle of the spine is some kind of crease across from Popeye's left foot. Looks like a couple of more stress lines around the spiderman logo on the cover.

So on the cover in the M in X-Men appears to be a light scuff mark smooth to touch .....and a light stress line on the spine going towards Wolverine's shoulder.....The back looks pretty good. P.S. Thanks for all thoughts and grades.

So this one looks pretty good.....on the front looks like a few very minor tics ( Stress Lines ) on the spine..... and on the back ...towards the top on the edge of the spine are like 3 stress lines ? Or maybe its a scuff or something.....smooth to touch.......If they were stress lines I would think they would cross over to the front cover somewhat but they do not. P.S. So there are several small tics with some breaking a little color....on the back top left corner there is a couple of creases with one going into the back page of book and the typical bend along the back left edge as these books that sat in overstock boxes for a couple of years before I bought them.
