  1. There is no such thing as a "warehouse find" of TMNT The Last Ronin. Somebody could have a lot of copies, but that's not a warehouse find.
  2. So you're saying that the centerfold wrap is detached at the top staple, right? How much effect that will have depends on the condition of the rest of the book.
  3. It has always been pretty minimal, it's just that printing technology has improved over time.
  4. Alan Moore's tribute to Jack Kirby: Alan Moore's tribute to Stan Lee:
  5. If Moore had his way, there would be a lot of room between them.
  6. I know all about Direct distribution and the stuff that ended in Diamond's monopoly. I was just asking for elaboration, especially about the "massive changes in the publication industry".
  7. Also, what were the "massive changes in the publication industry along with distribution models" you mention?
  8. Most manufacturing errors like this get qualified by CGC, which means the grade would be affected, but the defect is ignored. But whether it affects the grade or not, it will definitely affect the price. Who is even going to want that fugly copy?
  9. As in they should detect it (but CGC is not even close to being infallible) and give it the proper restored label.
  10. What's the "problem" that TPGs have? Isn't it their job to identify the comic book and what it's been through (damage or repair)?
  11. Marvel was ruining everything years before Disney was involved.
  12. "Dear Marvel, You Suck." So what else is new decades old?
  13. Low grade comics don't get qualified grades, at least not generally. Interior signatures generally have a negligible effect on grade.
  14. Yes, but I think the last one was years ago and didn't get that much participation. Yes, there are multiple 7-figure collections represented here. Mine is... not quite one of them.
  15. Grading is an art, not an exact science. People have tried making systems like what you suggest before and some are pretty good, but none are perfect. Also, we don't need TPGs for grading. Maybe some people do, but I sure don't.
  16. Wow. That's bizarre. That's like going on spring break in heaven. You guys know these are just sheets of silver and not comics, right? They should be perfect.
  17. Jon McClure's only real accomplishment was to make knowledge of Marvel's late-1970s price variants more widespread. Nobody cares about or uses the nonsense he wrote in his OPG 40 article.
  18. Do you have any idea how easy it is to reseal bags like this?
  19. You can't find McFarlane Marvel Tales? I know they're generally pricier than they used to be, but...
  20. Yeah, you might be able to find somebody willing to pay $2 instead of just $1! But seriously, if anybody is dumb enough to pay a premium for that, I'll reseal all the copies I have backwards.
