  1. Rest in Peace... Hmm @ADAMANTIUM got to be careful with your sketch commissions.... just kidding. The great part is you got something from a artist for someone who's enjoys their work.
  2. Anything ever happen just curious myself?
  3. If u want a nice case to store the one slab not sure about archival or longevity of the case but I’m sure it’s pretty good materials aren’t cheap and case isn’t cheap torpedo comics has carrying cases it’s felt lined inside I have a few but don’t have my expensive books in them as like I said not sure of archival material etc… maybe another boardie can speak to the quality or if it’s archival safe.
  4. Yeah buy some modern drek slabs and mix them about makes it hard for thief’s . They will pull a modern drek and assume the rest is junk haha.
  5. Wow I’m surprised not a bad start. Going to need to focus lol. Eye of the tiger music playing in the background…
  6. Just advice make sure the storage case u end up landing on is not air tight as the comics specially silver and golden age need to breath
  7. SCS sucks sorry this happened i hope the community or CGC can fix this issue one day.
  8. 2.5 always seem to hold steady.. i was hoping for a decline so i can try to jump on one in the future soon
  9. Grades submitted. Time to close my eyes and hope those random guesses hit a bullseye
  10. I think u should and write a report on it in 5 years and 10 years etc
  11. You might be right about no Mylar in the graded books now, but I was pretty sure the graded ones I bought a long time ago said Mylar I can’t find it on their current website it might have been old stock or something but a few did rip easily. I’m going to have to dig through my materials and see what the bag says.
  12. Generally most ppl put a bag/sleeve on their slabs so they don’t scratch it; as re-holdering a slab has its own complications and challenges. It’s way more convenient to replace a cheap bag.
  13. I use a Canadian company bags they say it’s Mylar and archival safe called “Comic Pro line”but I only use these on slabs cause the book isn’t touching it. I still is E gerber for raw books
  14. I would assume most people value stan sig at like 300-500$ range on average I mean he was doing 100$ a sig before he became ill and millions of free signatures way back in the day
  15. Does it come with the Tupperware container? Lol if so then I’d say it’s worth it haha
  16. I’m in.. maybe my shot in the darks might eventually hit something can we have a consolation prize!
  17. Since the thread has been resurrected. I’ve been seeing people framing books in Mylar then in cheap ikea frames. Anyone see any potential issues doing this. Like the frames and glass aren’t touching the books it’s touching the Mylar or the matting. Besides heating and cooling of the glass what are ur thoughts…
  18. I want to pick up another copy lol. But funds are to tight
