  1. if this lawsuit gets a favorable outcome will it mean other buyers could potentially sue auction houses to? not just for NFT's but for real art.
  2. No worries. Another collector already reached out and bought them already.
  3. I have a coule of pages from Batgirl Year One but non feature Babs. If you are still interested please PM me so I can send you scans so that you may evaluate if you'd like a page.
  4. wow! I have two pages from this issue too! If you ever decide to art with this one I'm your Huckleberry!
  5. Don't list it with them if they are not placing it in a Signature Auction. I recently lost a lot of money on Heritage Weekly Auctions people don't follow those as closely as a signature auction. If they decline placing it in a signature auction go with Comiclink you can contact Steve Borock to get this set up in one of their auctions.
  6. I'd probably go with Heritage if they would be willing to place it in a Signature auction to get the most money from it. If they just offer to put it in the weekly auctions look elsewhere those rarely sell well.
  7. In case someone here is looking for some good art I have 10 items consigned to Heritage that are ending this coming Wednesday june 14th. Among items I can highlight a Batman Volume 3 Issue 1page by David Finch featuring Batman in action, a Gary Frank Superman Secret Origin page featuring Metallo figthing Superman, a Butch Guice Birds of Prey featuring a Joker with a cast, a Y The Last Man page by Goran Sudzuka featuring a child Dr. Mann fighting with her Mom, a Crimson page by Humberto Ramos from Issue 1, a Joe Eisma Morning Glories early page, a Thor cover by Ariel Olivetti, and a Chris Burnham Justice League Incarnate page featuring Batman Who Laughs and Darkseid. https://comics.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=3186+793+794+791+1893+792+2088+4294938699+4294967012&type=friend-consignorlive-notice Have to pay for a big auction win so any bids are very welcome!
  8. I'd move on. Artist seems too much of a deva and he is already letting you know he'll be delayed.
  9. I called Mike on the Jim Calafiore Spider-Woman commission that he put yesterday for sale for more than 3 times what it sold. I am not sure it was him that bought it off ebay but if he didn't someone was wise enought o flip it to him immediately for a profit. Prices on that show are getting ludicrous but it is mostly potentialed by collectors. If they wouldn't sell anything then I am sure the show would die like Glen, Will and Bichara's show which wasn't succesful or at least they would be willing to lower there prices more drastically in order to get those sales. As an example I can site the jam Anthony had yesterday for $1,400 he lowered his price to I think $1,100 but I wasn't willing to go that high but someone else nabbed it for that price. I honestly don't like to overpay so it's why I continously do research on current market prices.
  10. I always forget about their auctions. Think in my 14 years of collecting I've yet to purchase from them anything.
  11. I also believe that C and D pages, at least at ComicLink, are softening. Most of what was offered in that auction was not transcendetal but I did follow a lot of them as I always do. I believe that is not the case with Heritage. Heritage's last signature auction (which is filled with A and B primo pages) had too many items and if you look at the historical total of average price per lot, that has lowered as can be seen in Bill Cox's review of the auction during his weekly update last week. I believe that there is more of an interest in the weekly auctions which lately have contained a lot of items that I would deem worthy of a Signature auction but maybe sellers are taking notice that most items get lost in the hundreds of items in those big auctions and better results can be obtained in the weekly auctions with fewer lots and fewer pieces to detract potential buyers. I'll guess I'll be testing this in the coming months as i sent a big batch of items to Heritage and I am expecting the total results to surpass the estimated value I got from Heritage by about 20% of the lower value I was given. I'll try to comment on this once the auctions are over.
  12. That is some nice artwork but I think it is an unpublished cover as I also searched and couldn't find it in my Database which has images of all the comics. @Alberto2933 are you only looking to sell it or would you be open to a trade? lmk
  13. It would be my preference to buy art from memorable storylines but alas prices have skyrocketed and that is nearly impossible. When I look at pages now I try to look for a piece of art that attracts my attention even if I haven't read the comic.
  14. 2DG? interesting I've never heard from that sight but will check it out.
  15. I just emailed him yesterday about 4 pages of art. Got an almost immediate response but regretably the art had sold in the last update he said. Through email Spencer doesn't seem nice but I've seen him at shows and he has been really helpful with me. Sunday is apparently when he catches up with emails so it would be wiser to email him on a Saturday in order to get a faster response.
  16. @PhilipB2k17 When I say low ball offers I mean low ball offers well below FMV. In 2021 & 2022 I decided to purge my collection of items that didn't fit my collecting focus anymore so I paid for market data on CAF and did all my due diligence to get a grasp on what FMV would be for the pieces I intended to sell and for those that people were asking to buy. My "artificial" asking price is the price I'd be comfortable selling some of my high end pieces but maybe I should just put them in my black hole collection all together and forget about posting to CAF as I no longer buy items I don't intend to keep long term, I've learned that when willing to sell, the Heritage way is the best way to get top dollar for high end pieces on signature auctions. Dealer pricing is always higher than FMV but coveted pieces sell really fast. Just look at DD and you see that pieces rarely sell for the initial asking price waiting until the recap until they accept a more reasonable offer (unless it is a highly coveted piece which is purchased immediately for the initial asking price). If you take a closer look at their initial pricing it usually is priced about a 10-20% above FMV. @Hockeyflow33I too have seen that some reps price the art too high as last year I purchased on ebay a cover from an artist represented by the most successful rep the OA market has right now and I bought it for half of what he originally sold it for. I didn't think my bid would win the auction but it did and suddenly I freaked out that I maybe had purchased a fake piece but when I consulted it turned out that the piece was not fake. Weirdly enough his art drops usually completely sell out or at least 80-95% of the pieces posted for sale such as yesterdays drop. @Ducky13agreed lately CAF seems to be a little outdated and in need of an overhaul. @Heidjer Staecker when I look at a seller on ebay and he has 100's or 1,000's of pieces for sale it usually deters me of looking through them.
  17. I definitely do NOT post everything on CAF. I used to when I first started collecting but then I made a trade I immediately regretted. After that I decided I would no longer post art I was not willing to trade or sell. This last year I decided I would start posting once again but with the caveat that I would price my art for sale at a price point I would be comfortable receiving in order to let go of the art (mostly very expensive prices except on those pieces I really want to sell or out of my collection). I am sad to report this has not deterred CAF members of making low ball offers. Additional reasons which I will not go into have led me to stray off CAF again and also from the YouTube videos which I eagerly looked forward too previously. I never thought I would say this but I think I am very worn out of collecting original art partly because of how the market has outpriced me on the art I would most love to have and in a big manner by some of the people in the community. I will say something positive that I have made several dear friends from this hobby that I have been pleased to meet in person and talk and enjoy art with. One of those such persons I've yet to meet in person but look forward to do so this coming year. I hope some time away from the hobby will help me fall in love with it once again.
  18. I use a toploader to hold my biggest art but I guess I have to look for a mylar that is big enough for it so it doesn't get damaged.
  19. I try my best to do artist/rep first, after that comes other collectors, then ebay and lastly dealers. Just 2 years ago I made my first purchase at Hake's and this year my first purchase at Heritage.
