  1. I voted no. I don't like the way she does business and I know she can veer from the truth but I don't believe she has done anything probation worthy. Like telling a board member that she was going to do a chargeback on him and keep his books. At what point does a veer turn into theft? Well, did the chargeback actually happen? It was just an idle threat, no? HoS should be serious business...
  2. He'd probably get a pass, if he hadn't come in with: I have a few questions for our board appointed economics professors (I play one at the local University in real life, by the way). That sort of hubris will earn you an 'I told you so' every time.
  3. Crazy thing is, you change one company acronym in this sentence for another and we may very well be dealing with the same scenario in this situation. I know incompetence is a strong word, but from my perspective we're dealing with one of the most significant, if not THE most significantly important book of the copper age. Getting the printing wrong on a Batman 497 is one thing, its something TOTALLY different when were dealing with TMNT #1.

  5. They can get past it. 1: Announce that the issue exists, and if possible how many TMNT 1 "first prints" we're affected. 2: Identify the cause of the problem and explain how CGC will prevent it in the future. 3: Announce a resolution for existing TMNT 1 copies, e.g. offer to reinspect existing first prints and reimburse people who purchased mislabeled copies. Doodoo happens. It's how you deal with it that matters. do you really that it's that easy? you dont think people would not question the integrity of their other books? other variants? printings? that PGX kid caused a huge comotion across differnt outlets and its still refered to today. believe me, i wish the best to CGC but it could get ugly. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3571506
  6. I thought both books went pretty cheap. I bid on the B&W up to $300 and I already have one. I figured once I got knocked out that it would have had some pretty aggressive snipes, but it never moved again. You just never know. Someone got a tasty deal, methinks. Might be time for a group shot.....
