  1. Kudos to R1970d and Zipper68 for their recent EC purchases in my FS thread, two perfect transactions ! thanks guys (thumbs u
  2. Nice Brian, very nice,. one of my favs,.. gotta love the war covers.
  3. wasn't this the original owner collection from a little ole lady who lived round the corner of the comic shop and walked in one day with Action #1 thru #18 or something,.. that's the way I heard the story,.. please clarify any discrepancies. Pretty much. She called first to see if we were interested. The collection also had a long run of pre-hero More Funs and Adventures, some Batman Detectives. Just an awesome collection. "to see if we were interested" Now that's funny,.. "no maam, sorry we wouldn't be interested in Unrestored Action Comics #1 thru #18 plus an assortment of other GA DCs. do you have any POGS to sell ?" thanks for the info Ciorac. (thumbs u

  5. I really didn't need to hear that story Dale, man, I love Swan's stuff, I just bought my first Swan page, and to think that a collector was buying them at $5 each and $25 for covers, makes me mental well, MORE mental than I already am..
  6. my first (and only so far) double cover, I bought this book from Blazing Bob just as an add on to my order with a few other books I had purchased from him at the time. I like "reveal" shot covers where Clark is shown changing. Had no idea it was a double cover until I received it, I don't think Bob did either. not bad for $10. Had it onsite graded at this past weekends Chicago con. raw: graded:
  7. "embarrassed", what the heck !??! yeah, I'd be ashamed of that book too
  8. now THAT'S a group shot !! what's the grade on that Supes #2 ?
  9. nice groups Rick, are the World's Finest issues from that era as tough to find as they say they are ? can't tell what # it is, but I love that cover with the fire and Bats/Robin/Supes helping that woman out of the burning building, and the one directly above it as well.
  10. updates look much better, is there a place where we can see "max users online" and all that stuff, I liked watching it set new record highs
  11. the illusive #13 is tough book, very nice run of early Actions you have fishbone, thanks for posting them, (thumbs u
  12. hey Fishbone, welcome to the boards, always nice to have another GA Supes/Bats collector round here. as for posting scans of your books, you need an image hosting site such as www.photobucket.com or http://imageshack.us/
  13. now THAT'S a comic book, very nice looking copy, looks better than 3.5 to me. Congrats Brian on getting a #48, which as you know is not only my favorite Action Comics cover, but my favorite cover ever. alot of recent Action pickups lately in this thread.
