  1. no coin toss here, Action #1,,hole punches and all.
  2. Batman #1, although, that Supes #2 does look very clean and has white pages..
  3. well, shows what I know, I never would have guessed more people would want the Superman 16 over the Action 48, which is why I chose these two examples, the Supes 16 went for $211 more than the Action 48, both sold in Comic link auctions this year, For me the choice is easy, as Action 48 is probably my favorite all time GA cover, I've loved it every since I first saw it in the Photo Journals,.. now, don't get me wrong, I think Superman 16 has a great cover as well, the whole 40's look, the statue, Lois pining after Supes, and the knowing "wink" in Clark's eye, all add up to a classic Jack Burnley cover. however...... the E. Church/Mile High copy of my favorite (and fairly scarce) Action war cover ?!?!?! no contest.. I'll take the Action #48 (then buy me a nice mid-grade copy of Supes #16 ) I'd also choose the More Fun #79.
  4. just want to clarify, that Supes 16 is the first Lois Lane cover in the "Superman" title only, .. she first appeared on the cover of Action Comics #29 (according to OS) or #27 depending on if you think that's Lois on the cover of Action #27. yes..I am aware of this, and I always thought Action 29 was the 1st appearance my choice stands - Supes 16 fair enough,.. although, as far as I know Supes #16 is the first ever Clark Kent cover..

  6. Here's one, (haven't played this game yet), both of these books sold this year (2006) for almost the same amount, around $8K , $211 dollar difference between the selling prices. both books are currently the highest graded copy. and you must choose one, a swift kick to the groin is not an option this time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyone who knows me, KNOWS which one I'd choose.
  7. I'll take the More Fun #53, a 9.6 WHITE Edgar Church book, would be an incredible book to have, plus I like the cover better. (sorry Torch and Toro)
  8. All-Star #1 for me, no way do I do Brittle pages ,
  9. Slight (P) on the 'Tec, give me the 'TEC #27 !!
  10. Nice Actions there comicdonna, I like the Mxy cover of #80, and I use to own a #67, but have since sold it,.. but I will have one again someday... you've been on a buying tear lately, I like the run your going for, that #1's gonna be a doosie..
  11. now this is a tough choice... I love white pages on a GA book, but this 'Tec #31 is an "Extensive" P, which pretty much means the book was completely rebuilt, plus I love Action #7 even with those hole punches in it, I'll take the Action #7
  12. And then you could sell me yours real cheap. I guess I could that does anyone else feel that if Luthor was facing forward, and we could see his face, that #47 would be worth alot more than it currently is, which then would bring me to my next question,.. Hulk #180 is the first REAL Wolverine app, although he's not on the cover... Hulk #181 is Wolvie's first cover app.. and is worth more, would it be the same for Action #47 and #23 (oh and please forgive me for even mentioning Bronze books in this thread)
  13. Action #47, cuz I already have an Action #23, ..... oh, who'm I kidding, I'd take that 7.0 Rockford Action #23 anyday..over most books..
  14. how much for the Superman #17 next to the Action #1
  15. I'll take the Cap #1, that slight P wouldn't bother me on the E. Church book.
  16. Action 13? Join the club. That book's tough and in demand. I see twice as many 7's as I do 13's. for you, though. I agree, I also see more copies of Action #7 than #13 as well, heck my LCS had a #7 about 8 years ago, so that should say something,. so Win, this may sound like a stupid question, but would you say that Action #13 is even scarcer than Action #1 ?? I mean in total copies, not just unrestored.
  17. Silver, that is a beautiful book !! very nice...
  18. Yes. Where have you seen some nice 4.0s lately? You going after that Action 43 CGC 5.0 on eBay? conversation taken off-line so as to not pollute the newly created GA marketplace forum
  19. up to 5.0 now is it.. 4.5 no longer good enough ? 4.5 is good enough for Action #44. Know anyone who's got one for sale? um.... I might know someone who's got that issue you know, I've seen some 4.0s recently that look really nice,.. are you eyeing anything in the upcoming C-link auction ??
