The only signature, on any comic that I have, is on Captain America 113.  I have no idea if it is authentic.  It is a raw book, part of a lot that I purchased.  Is there a proper method to ascertain authenticity in cases like this?  Can it even be done?

There are people out there that could authenticate it for you. There are also numerous people here that are very good at distinguishing real signatures from fake ones...

  2. Nice score!

I've noticed that Eerie magazines from this time period (the Bill DuBay era, which ran from about Nov. 1972 - March of 1976) can be tougher to find in high grade due to the increased page counts, which seem to contribute to more frequent spine problems...:preach:

I have a couple of books that have the wrong issue number on the label. They are both Gold Keys which sometimes confuses Cgc with the numbering system they used.

Yep, when these books get entered into the CGC system incorrectly and no one catches it, you're probably going to end up with a label error. Usually this starts because of incorrect or incomplete information on the CGC invoice. I've got a Classics Illustrated comic with the wrong HRN number on the label and no art comment, but I doubt I'm going to go through the trouble of sending it back in...some things just aren't worth the hassle...(shrug)
