Oh, got it. Which Fawcett keys were you referencing?

While I agree with some of your points, this specific point is not true. Even though a majority of keys have significantly reduced in price the past few months, a majority are still 50% to 100% higher than pre pandemic prices. Yes there could be some exceptions, but in general this is the case. Most keys are still way above where they were back in 2020.

May have just been a creative use of words to introduce the topic. That being said, December 9.8 Direct sales are averaging $200 and one just sold yesterday on ebay for $250. Considering you can buy 9.8 potential raws for $25-30, seems like a nice little flip to me.

Well done, especially considering it's your first submission. Much better to under grade than over grade...within reason. Also, don't let the negativity of some of the boardies get to you. There are some good people here.

I've been dabbling in Rally for about 6 months now. I've invested mostly in comics but also a few sports cards and video games. The biggest downside for me is not always having a final say in selling my shares. When Rally has a buyout offer for the asset, I get one vote as a shareholder. I have voted "no" every time, and every time the asset is sold. The bright side....I have made decent money every time. I'm enjoying the experience so I'll stick with it for now.

I am embarrassed to say that I had to look up Flo Steinberg to find out who she was. Appreciate the response. I learned a little more Marvel history today.

I believe some choose not to participate because they have experienced getting garbage as their gift. This happened to me one year, and I won't name any names, but I received a bunch of low grade torn up beaten stained ripped garbage that I would be too embarrassed to drop off at a donation center. Clearly this was someone who wanted to provide the least amount of value in their gift. That being said, I choose to continue participating because I enjoy the Christmas season of giving, and spreading holiday cheer. If I can send a gift and make someone's day brighter, then that gives me joy. 🎄🎁🎅

I know you said there is no color break but from the picture it seems like it's definitely color breaking on the back cover. That being said, it can definitely be improved with a press but won't completely go away. Hard to say if the grade will improve without seeing everything wrong with the book, but good chance you will get to a 9.2 if some of the defects are pressable.

I did the exact same thing. Bought a 9.6 in May for what was a good price...at the time. Now......
