  1. Did you insure the package? Should be able to get your money back.
  2. About 4 to 6 months ago, as we all know, key books could be priced higher than last sale (within reason) and sell quickly...because prices were continuing to climb. Now that so many books have leveled off (or are declining), some sellers have not changed their selling strategies and books are sitting. I've even found that many buyers are expecting to spend much less than last sale or 90 day average. I think we're in a period of volatility and recalibrating what the market really wants to be. Could be a long road since 2021 was insane for sale prices.
  3. I do feel a little badly for Scooter. He undoubtedly suffers from a serious lack of basic education, major drug abuse, or a combination of both. I hope he gets some help.
  4. Um.......huh? Hard to read your posts or take you seriously when you put 50 run-on sentences into one post with hardly any punctuation whatsoever. Also, the bi-polar nature of your various posts just feed the belief that we can't believe anything you say. Are you planning to answer anyone's question about your store handle? Might help your credibility.....a little.
  5. That really only works if someone submits a best offer. No way to avoid troublesome buyers if they just use BIN. I've been selling for almost 15 years on ebay and things have worked out 99% of the time. Any business in the world is at risk for being scammed. Some people get away with it. My experience is that things have a way of working out in the future.
  6. User: raywetz User bought quite a few comics for me. Left me negative feedback and the only words used were "great seller". I had no other communication with the buyer. I emailed asking if there was a problem with the order. No response. The good news, eBay removed the feedback within 5 minutes of me making the request.
  7. That is a fantastic observation. I also never knew. Thank you for sharing.
  8. This is a really nice looking book. I bet with a press this book would be an 8.0 if not better. A CGC graded 8.0 goes for around 7k these days in auction. Hope that helps.
  9. Incredible Hulk #180 CGC 6.5 WHITE PAGES SS x3 Stan Lee, John Romita, Len Wein $2800
  10. Prices include shipping and full insurance (in US, Canada pays actual shipping). No HOS, please. Payment options: Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Wire trumps PM in most cases. No return on slabs. 14 day return on raws. I've sold some here on the boards, but also on Instagram. I can provide many more references from Instagram if requested.
  11. Well said! Hopefully one day these people can find a way to let joy back into their lives...as opposed to being so miserable. Who cares that you can't afford what you want. Who cares that someone else owns million dollar comics and video games. Love what you have, not what you can't get. And stop blaming everyone else for your "problems". Makes for a much happier life.
  12. You are spot on with all your points. I am observing the back and forth dialogue here with an "outsiders" perspective, and I don't sense any bias whatsoever coming from you. You are just stating logical facts and some opinions (case preference). I'll never understand why people with a clear illogical bias try to accuse others of the same. They need to take step back, take a breath, and read what they are writing before they hit send. For the record, I have never collected video games, but when looking at the whole WATA vs VGA comparison, it really reminds me of the CGC vs CBCS argument. The WATA cases just look nicer (IMHO) and if they sell for more money, you can't blame people for all the crossover submissions. Very similar to why the masses prefer CGC over.....anyone else. It's just simple logic.
  13. Well said. All of this is absolutely free publicity and will keep the market growing. Noone is going to step in and stop this. Only way to stop it is for people to stop bidding past what they can afford. Scam artists can't keep buying their own games forever (if that's truly what's happening).
  14. I don't think it matters at all. Look at the collection and if you like the price...buy it. That's always worked for me.
  15. Nah. Never too late. There will always be good deals out there. Just need to educate yourself and make smart purchases. Those can be flipped to make the next bigger purchase. No different than 20 or 40 years ago, other than now it will take more flips to get those grails because of how valuable they've become.
  16. This is a great way to look at the data. You can see that the market really started slowing down after May and now is on a slight downturn. I'm expecting the August to September numbers to show a decrease as well. Thanks for sharing.
  17. nickrich30 Bought and paid for an item and then asked to cancel. Typical.
