  1. This one is interesting. Actually started dropping before the movie hit theatres. Then, the movie absolutely rocked...with Shang Chi planned to have a huge MCU presence for years to come.... and the book continues its free fall. That really hasn't happened with any key first appearance that also had huge MCU success with the first movie.
  2. Wow. That is definitely an amazing coincidence. I agree that some buyers are just extremely difficult and not worth the time.
  3. As a seller, I always take the initiative to contact USPS and provide the buyer with updates. It goes a long way in creating trust with your buyers.
  4. Nice book. I'm going with a 3.5. You will also get notes on the label for tape and detached cover at top staple...but should be a blue label even with those notes.
  5. I really like this topic. The best idea I've seen is to "sleep on it". Whether that's a day, a week, or six months....take a little break before doing anything. Then, go with what your heart tells you. There is no right or wrong here.
  6. Well said! It's somewhat amusing (and sad) that so many topics turn into a handful of boardies trying to nit pick every single word in someone's post to make them feel stupid. It's a toxic environment. I agree with @Shawn Everidge that this is a good example of why many people lurk instead of joining the discussion.
  7. Maybe not worth the trip for $23 but there is always the option to file a claim with USPS. It takes time but you eventually get your money back.
  8. Very cool. I didn't realize the first 5 issues were original stories. Time to hunt!
  9. Awesome book! I would say 9.2 as it stands. Pressing will definitely help the defects I can see. Hard to tell from pics but if nothing is color breaking, you have a shot at a 9.8.
  10. I'm in! Last year was my first year doing this and it was great. Christmas is coming!!!!! 🎄🎁
  11. User: alvingabriola Buyer offered $12 for $20 item. I counter offered with $16.50 stating lowest I can go. Buyer sent message below. Don't need buyers like this.
  12. CGC was very helpful and ended up keeping the Gaines File Copy pedigree. New case and grade was maintained. Very happy with the outcome. Not sure why the picture is sideways. Very frustrating.
  13. Unfortunately, it's not that easy. You need to establish a history with your CGC submissions in order to be approved as a dealer.
  14. I don't know any videos about Valiant but if you search the History of Image Comics on YouTube, it comes right up. It is multiple parts and is really good.
  15. Agreed. Ebay is a great option and it will DEFINITELY sell. If you've never used Ebay before, mycomicshop might be the better option.
  16. That is a painful article to read. I stopped after two paragraphs. Who talks like that?!?!
  17. I agree with almost everything you said. Only point is that you still have to "take care of packing, shipping, and insuring" even when sending to MCS, so really no benefit there. The other advantages....completely agree.
  18. Pictures are kind of blurry but maybe a 6.0.
  19. Hard to tell with the pictures. Is that a one inch tear at the middle of the top edge of the front cover? Also, another tear on the middle of the right edge of the front cover? If so, along with all the other defects, maybe a 5.0. Again, difficult to see everything because pictures are blurry. Still a great book!
  20. Agreed. One example. GSX1, which had a pretty significant decrease, has been on the rise in many grades lately.
  21. User ID josmor-383657 Typical...bought an item and no payment or communication after a week. Also is a seller with lots of negative feedback. Beware.
  22. The White Pages copy will absolutely have a good chance of selling for more than the OW/W copy. Today more than ever collectors are putting a premium on White Pages. It's hard to put a price on that, and I agree that it just takes the right buyer.
  23. Not true. If the box arrived with the contents gone, the insurance will cover that.
