  1. Yeah, I hope this isn't all talk. James Gunn has had one great movie, in my opinion. I have doubts he's going to be able to revamp an entire universe....but I hope he does.
  2. Completely agree. Why are we censoring emojis????? Let people's true colors shine through for the world to see.
  3. I agree the market is definitely strong compared to 2020 and earlier. For GA, it's as strong as ever, but I am starting to see mid and low grade GA remain steady, unless it's a key. Assuming you're making a profit on books you mostly purchased before 2021. Most people that purchased big SA keys during 21/22 aren't making much profit these days. A healthy correction in my opinion, but many dealers are refusing to accept that when pricing their books for shows. If they need to sell, they'll eventually make changes.
  4. I'm questioning the Swaggle video. The first five Silver Ages keys I looked up were all down in almost all grades between December and January. Curious as to what books he picked to conclude that SA is up so much in January.
  5. Sorry to hear about this. Will definitely keep my eyes open if something pops up here in Michigan.
  6. Completely agree. Why not allow the buyer to have the option to save a little money? They know the risk of possible inspection. If the buyer doesn't want that risk, they can choose First Class / Priority. Seems like a win-win.
  7. Agreed. These price corrections are happening to almost all big keys in almost all grades.
  8. vs Last Sale seems to be doing slightly better than vs 22 avg. January typically does better than Nov/Dec. Will be interesting to see if the improvement continues into February.
  9. I think we're all calm here. You may be claiming not to be using the race card, but that's exactly what you did. You asked if the race of a movie cast character being different than the race of a comic book character is the reason the book is less valuable than others. The answer is no. The book doesn't do well because the character is not very interesting for most comic fans. And I think many would claim the movie casting made the character much more interesting than the comic book character.
  10. Not the race card again. Nick Fury has always been considered an uninteresting, boring character by the general comic book fan. Looking at CGC prices prior to his casting (and after) will tell you that skin color isn't the problem. If anything, casting a dynamic personality like Smauel L Jackson only helped make the character more interesting.
  11. Agreed. Only a few keys have actually gone back to pre covid prices. Most are still significantly higher. Important to realize both the current correction and the fact that prices are still stronger than 2020.
  12. Two of the three listings are books without back covers, but he definitely calls that out in his listings. I don't see a problem with that. As for selling back covers, not sure if there's a way to determine which book it's from. Did you try messaging the seller?
  13. Ebay shipping is still significantly cheaper than purchasing directly from USPS. Depending on the package, it's usually 20% to 40% cheaper. That being said, the USPS price increases have been pretty significant over the past 6 months.
  14. Sounds like the same story for every one of my Registered packages. Always a nail-biting experience. Glad it finally got there!
  15. People have been saying that for over a year now but they don't seem to be running out of money. I don't care for the platform. Way too many cheap books going for ridiculously high prices. Doesn't make sense.
  16. I'll pick #54 Moon Knight 9.8s from @ThatNerdyCanuck
  17. Another great video by the elves!!!! #16 this year.
  18. I have enjoyed seeing you track your collection. Seems like you not only regained all your losses but actually increased the value above and beyond the crazy sale prices during the covid boom. This is remarkable since most keys are still 40-60% down from their highs. Assuming this is due to your books being modern Signature Series that don't have as many comps as the typical keys. What are your thoughts?
  19. Pretty sure this isn't possible. A seller cannot change the price of an item with an offer pending. They would need to decline the offer and then change the price...in which case you would then need to submit a new offer before they could counter-offer.
  20. I think the OP was just using that example as one of the benefits of running a business. Then again, if the business strictly buys without selling anything, they won't be a business for very long... and they'll be back to paying sales tax with their hobby.
  21. That's been happening to me as well, but only because the books I bid on are either Golden Age (which are still on the rise), or a book in grade that hasn't had a recorded sale in years.
