  1. I love Hake's. Bought multiples times. Quick shipping. Great packaging.
  2. I am very sorry this happened to you. Will definitely keep an eye out. These criminals will be caught!
  3. For what it's worth, that sale in March had White Pages. I don't think it's worth a $16K premium, but definitely worth something.
  4. Golden Age PCH is continuing its trend from the past few years with most keys or higher grade books going up in price. DC Bronze Age Horror (like Tech 407) is the one bright spot for Bronze and Copper Age books. Good luck finding High Grade DC Bronze Age Horror keys that aren't selling for more than the previous sale. Crazy market right now!
  5. 5.5 A press would help the appearance in a few areas that look like light finger bands and creases, but may not help the grade. That long color breaking crease on the front is the biggest culprit.
  6. 4.5 The split hurts, but beautiful book otherwise.
  7. Looks like a few spine ticks. If no other issues that can't be seen in the photos, I'm thinking 9.0.
  8. I'm in. My gift will be a partial Mystery Box of Bronze Age Horror. Here's a sneak peek!!! Free shipping in US. If Canada, just pay difference from US cost.
  9. I never met him, but always enjoyed reading his posts. His humor had me rolling at times. RIP.
  10. I hope I didn't take this quote out of context, but what brick and mortar stores do you visit??? At least in Michigan, the ones that do the best are the ones that carry the biggest selection of back issues and wall books, among other things (toys, cards, Manga, etc.). The stores that have tried surviving with only Manga, Pops, and new release comics...die a slow death. Again, what comic stores do you go to that don't have comics??? I would not consider those "comic" stores. Edit - Sorry. Read it wrong. Bookstores. Not comic stores.
  11. USPS Registered! It's a little bit of a pain because of the tape you need to use, but it insures up to $50K and there's more security for Registered Mail during the shipping process.
  12. I am not seeing that. I know GPA doesn't include all sources, but AF15 and Hulk 1 had most of their October sales that were lower than previous sale, and in some cases lowest since 2020. FF1 seemed to have a decent October in sold grades, but I would not say it already hit bottom.
  13. I don't necessarily see that as trend. I see just as many ebay sold prices outperforming the big auction houses. But I do agree this difference is significant.
  14. The fees on ebay are extremely competitive for big books. If you have a store, it's 12.5% for the first $2500 but only 0.025% for any amount above that. Plus a 10% discount on fees if you’re top rated. That is one of the best fee structures of any platform.
  15. I agree with you. I've asked Swaggle multiple times if he can share the list of books he's using. Never received a response. There are some other videos out there of detailed analysis of individual key issues. I find those to be more useful, because the guy uses every grade with a recent sale and shows a 3 year trend averging all of those grades. Then he does update videos of those books after a month or two of new data has come in. Also explains why some months have a larger than normal spike or drop. That being said, I still watch the swaggle index video each month. I just skip to the latest data points, so I'm done with the video in 30 seconds. Hope he chooses to share details in the future.
  16. Not sure if the seller ended it early or if the auction went the full distance. Regardless, I don't think ebay cares about things like that unless it's continuous behavior from a seller.
  17. The seller has it relisted on ebay as well for $25k, so the $11K sale never happened.
