  1. That reminds me... We also called the Haight/Ashbury area the "Hashbury"---(Just a little slang from the locals.) Thanks for sharing and bringing back fond memories!
  2. "Haight street, that great street. That street we love to hate!" When I lived on Haight street some of my neighbors taught me that little phrase. Kinda catchy, it stuck with me all these years.
  3. Would love to have a chance at a copy like that someday!!!
  4. Love seeing these Hundreds with Flash covers!!!
  5. Terry, so glad you got to got to your favorite Con again here in the states! One of these years I will have to meet you there and we can search for Flash in person. I guess folks are really holding on to their Flash Keys these days! Did Heat Wave make and appearance at the con? Can't wait to see the pictures!
  6. FYI for you big fans for this incredible writer/artist duo of Carmine Infantino and John Broome the team that helped usher in the Silver Age. They teamed up on issues #105-#194. Truly an amazing, long lasting team up! But Flash was not new to them. They both had assignments working in Flash Comics in the Golden Age. They teamed up on aforementioned Flash Comics #95. After that they worked on issues #100, 101 and 103 together. They would have to wait a decade before working on Flash again. It is a bucket list comic wish of mine to own at least one of those 4 comics!
  7. Great selection there! Wow FF#1, Avengers #1, FF 48 Conan #1!? Very impressive sir!!! Thanks for sharing!
  8. Just glad the axe was turned the other way. You can tell they practiced this before.
  9. The guy on the left says: "Hold on a second guys. Stay where you are. Let me run inside real quick and get us a few more beers, be right back."
  10. Actually their first team up in Flash Comics was on issue # 95 Joe Kubert did the cover but Carmine and John did the 'Golden Flash' story.
  11. Sword of Time issue!!! Amazing! I believe this was one of the first issues Broome and Infantino teamed up on. I will have to double check later.
  12. I am so excited to find out this week that Trina will be in our fair little corner of Texas next month!!!
  13. OMG! These are so coo!!! Thanks so much for sharing them!!!
  14. In other news...It looks like the hurricane is headed right for Sarasota!!! Does CGC have a storm proof facility?
  15. Just so amazing to see them in this grade!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
  16. Matheson was a true master of the genre! One of my all time favorites. Thanks so much for sharing!
  17. 108 was also one of my earliest SA Flash comics. Special cover and issue for me. In my first attempt at completing the run back in the late 70's and 80's, my copy of 108 was the lowest # I was able to obtain in those years.
