I post it all!! Or intend to- I’m a bit backed up at the moment. And I think everyone should .. here is my reasoning
1) it’s easy to track, sort, look at etc. you can see when you got a piece , what it cost and even gives you a peek into your thoughts when you got it if you do a write up
2) I like looking at other peoples art so why shouldn’t they see mine! Sharing is a fun part of the hobby
3) if you have certain focus people will start to offer things you may like that were not necessarily for sale publicly
4) it’s fun.. rearranging galleries or changing featured pieces gives another layer to hobby engagement
5) to all those “I hate getting emails about stuff that isn’t for sale” I say boo to that.. I ignore all kinds of other spam email so why not this, also like someone else said you never know what that guy asking has? You may want what he has more than yours . And lastly I recently had a personal issue where I needed to raise a nice chunk of funds- so instead of scrambling to sell something I had a nice Rolodex of people who would make a fair offer on a piece I maybe didn’t want to sell but now needed to.

I do not think a lot of people who want jim lee art care about him drawing savage dragon...

The cap one seemed ok- no xmen
the other was cheap… but no Williams inks and some other people contributed to that issue I believe

At least that way I will still get emails if others are interested (I do tell the they are not first on the list if they email)

Nice! I went in telling myself I wasn’t buying (I lie to myself regularly lol) - immediately found 2 pieces from my want list alert - both pieces would stretch what I could spend , picked one and didn’t hear back … and of course my second choice sold while I was waiting… thankfully when I heard back I got it , as I knew it would be hotly contested piece.

That stinks… I would never do that, but one frustrating thing for those of us on a budget , the limbo you are in when before someone responds to your purchase request. Saturday morning I sent a request right at 11 am - it took the seller at least 2 hours to respond.. so I couldn’t make any other purchases before hearing back. Thankfully I got the piece. I wish there was a checkout or something so you know right away.

I bought a great silvestri X-men page for a reasonable price.. so no complaints here.. yes some of the asks are aspirational but why wouldn't they be?? With the auction results and how far those dollars go in art.. it seems not smart if you aren't aggressive .

end page from issue 59… the two biggest contributions from adams in his X-men run in my opinion are Havok and Sauron… this page has some shots of Havok and the first appearance of Dr Karl Lykos who next issue transforms to Sauron! All this and all the realism and emotion that Adams is known for!

I’m not sure why everyone is so surprised by this one,,, the 107 cover went for 360k almost exactly a year ago. And this 98 is earlier , a much better image…better images of the X-men and in action vs a key villian and one of the few early covers wolverine is actually on.
