To answer the question of why the FM 59 was 4.0, here is the back cover. On the left hand side near the word "adventure" there is residue that is about a quarter of an inch wide and a little over an inch long.On the right hand upper and right hand lower there is a small dent. The white has a little dirt. There are some other minor "problems" on the bottom of bc, but overall I'm happy with it.

Graded as a 4.0.

Oh not at all. I have quite a few of the early ones on digital as they are way out of my price range. I'm just picking up the ones that I read as a kid, roughly 38 to 106, with some later issues that look fun. I remember picking up a lot of the issues between 43 and 99 from Mile High Comics at $5 or less back in the early 90's.

You might contact mycomicshop.com and see what they offer. They have buying partners all over the country and might come out to look at them and make you a cash offer. Wouldn't hurt to try. I'd avoid ebay.

Had 6 FM's arrive today, and here is a look at three of them. #121 Karloff by Ken Kelly, 126 Mr Sardonicus by Basil Gogos and 116 Day Of The Triffids by Ken Kelly.

To me, no poster means you would probably get a green label from CGC. I've seen quite a few of these selling on ebay, out of my price range. Personally, I grade any book missing anything as a fair at best no matter how good it looks or if it is a key. Others mileage may vary.

I ran into this a few days ago as a buyer. There was an item that had a starting price and a make an offer button. So I made a reasonable offer and the seller got back to me with a declining message stating they wanted bids on it.(Now I know why). Anyway, I bid on it, got outbid and then there was a bid retraction which temporarily put me back as top bidder. I'm not going to win this thing, but it has been interesting so far.

While I understand and can see why you would want to do this, I'm thinking that CGC wouldn't want to get involved. If you have your doubts, listen to them and pass on the book.

I could read and comprehend at 3. I just loved almost all of the DC titles that came out in the 60's. I first saw an ad for Flash 151 in Eighty Page Giant #8 and had to have it. Pretty sure those were the first 3 Flash comics I bought (151-153) and my subscription started with 154 and ran through 197.

I never click on any email link from any company I use. I prefer going to the site. And I do have all of the protection gigs like McAfee, Malware, Spybot and spyware blaster. Paypal really has problems on a perpetual basis. A few years ago they started charging foreign transaction fees on US transactions. After badgering them for weeks they finally admitted the problem wasn't from my end.

Oh I agree. It is just that whenever I log into Paypal itself they want the information, and that is what is pizzing me off.

Didn't know where to put this, so I'll piggyback here. WTF is going on with Paypal? I've been getting emails from them requesting my SSN. Also, when I get to the website (not via the email) it notifies me they want my SSN. I called them and the rep told me the emails were spammers which I might buy into save for one thing. I asked him why the website keeps asking for the info. He's said that it must be a glitch because nobody else has complained about it . Yeah, pull the other one. I don't sell items on ebay so that isn't why they want it. Anyway I told them I wasn't handing over any SSN info. Anybody else having this problem?

FM 101 sold as a 6.0 On the front cover you see FM 93, 1968 Annual, #47, 1971 Yearbook, #50, #46. #91, 1969 Yearbook, #83, #64 & #62. The back cover has parts of #65, 66 and 80.

FM 106 graded at 2.5. FM 134 graded at a 4.0 with some weirdness at the spine. Dust shadow maybe?

I know that usually MCS knocks the grade down to a 4.0 if there is a sticker involved. Not sure how CGC would handle it.
