  1. My understanding of weird alien thing crotch anatomy is poor enough that I wasn't sure whether it was part of the alien or the dragon. Whichever way, it doesn't look very polite. Jack certainly not part of MY fantasy
  2. Holy Fudd! That's a wild cover. Any idea who drew it? Have you looked inside? What does The Arrhenius Horror mean? I only know his equation, which isn't too horrible. Jack
  3. Garçon? I'll have what he's having. Make it a double. Jack
  4. HOORAY! It's the return of my favorite feature. This is the thread that persuaded me to join the board a few years ago. Don't despair -- GCD will soon be back, more reliable and user-friendly than ever. Thanks, Jack (I can't tell most of the Westerns apart either.)
  5. WOW! What a group. Funny, the alien front and center looks like the extraterrestrial counterpart of the guy from Action Comics! Jack
  6. Yikes. Those are scary looking people. I wouldn't want to run into them in a darkened room...or a well lit room. Well, maybe one of them -- but if she weren't asleep she'd give Dr Grabby-Hands a good smack. Jack
  7. I like Nancy and Sluggo. Even now the cover gags are still funny. You're just trying to get on her auntie's good side. "Sure! I just love spiky-haired nieces! Shall we discuss it over dinner?" Jack
  8. Wow, matching eaten faces, how cool, Andy...congrats! HAW! What a sweet-talker. I wish I had a nickel for every time I've heard that old line. Jack I'd be 5¢ richer
  9. dumb as a stump? Jack yes, stooping to ad hominem You're making that up right? He didn't really say that! There's no way I could make that up. It was in this discussion. #3363982 - 08/09/09 02:35 AM Re: Who can ban Comic Supply from selling on the Boards? There's more there if you have the stomach for it. Crazy moon talk JPS
  10. I don't think I've ever looked at the Probation thread before, but I had to gawk at this ongoing disaster. Is ComicSupply really trying to drum up business and get out of the Hall of Shame by being insulting, uncooperative, condescending and -- well, better explained by example. In case anyone missed this discussion of the movement of the sun, earth and moon during eclipses a couple of weeks ago -- dumb as a stump? Jack yes, stooping to ad hominem
  11. Very nice -- I'd say that you're on track to finish the set before I do. You can help index them! Jack
  12. I like it very, very much BZ. Thanks for posting it. I've never had a copy of that book that I can recall. I'll find one eventually. "Fritzi Ritz" and "dated" in the same message. No wonder you caught Bill's eye. You've probably made his evening! Jack
  13. Finlay seems to have a thing for women on fire. Yup. I posted this other one a while back - Jack
  14. Hah! He looks like Frank Mellish from Liberty Meadows drawn in a more realistic style. Jack
  15. I regret that I don't actually have my own copy of Judy Canova 23 to contribute. She's America's No. 1 funster! Jack
  16. Is that silly kid on the tiger her sidekick? How strange! Nice-looking funnybooks! Jack is the kid any sillier than a scientist who thinks that spotted cat is a tiger? What do you expect? He's a chemist not a zoologist Dammit, Jim. Jack
  17. Is that silly kid on the tiger her sidekick? How strange! Nice-looking funnybooks! Jack is the kid any sillier than a scientist who thinks that spotted cat is a tiger? thanks, sir. i like 'em. DUH! Incognito tiger, I meant. Regardless, is he Moon Girl's sidekick? Jack she later got a female sidekick, but early on she had a partner, prince mengu. he had an alter-ego, lionel. but he wasn't a kid, and shelly sure did draw the guy on the leopard as a youth. that's mengu on the ground on this one. Why do you suppose she'd give such a valuable fighting companion the boot? Hmmm, a suspicious family resemblance between Mengu and the grinning kid on the incognito tiger. Maybe I'm beginning to understand why she left him on the ground for the green devil-gal. Thanks for the explanation. Jack

  20. Fantastic! Where do you work? It reminds me of my home town, Lorain, OH. I was very impressed by a tour of US Steel when I was a kid, but I remember the scale as much larger than this. Do you work on small-lot specialty steels? The artist (Jack Burnley?) must have used some good photo-reference here. Jack
  21. The dials on the device even display the same measurements. I guess the procedure to put a head on a translucent woman and a mummy are the same. The mummy body was just the next in line! Once they moved it out of the way, they could distill their skull for snack time. Jack
  22. Nice book (thumbs u I think Parker needs one of those. A space helmet? An unconscious platinum-haired babe. Jack the unconscious part is important
  23. Thanks for the tip! (thumbs u My daughters (9 &12) love this book - especially the Babe stories. It didn't bother your 9-year-old when Babe was walking around with a seriously broken neck? Kinda creeped me out, and I'm over 9! Jack
