  1. I don't doubt it but does that translate into kids who actually want to read and collect comics? That's the question that I don't have an answer to.
  2. I spread them out on the floor and then roll around on them
  3. thanks. my bad Your clue was that it doesn't say Overstreet anywhere on it.
  4. One of my favorite covers from this run. Love the red logo with the black background, the overall composition and oh yeah the damsel in the red dress. Luis Dominguez doesn't get nearly enough credit.
  5. I like some of Miller's work but I still go back a re-read Byrne's 70s and 80s stuff. No contest for me.
  6. I believe they're called 'hickeys' https://www.offsetprintingtechnology.com/sub-categories/on-press-troubleshooting/
  7. Much like Park I stuck my package into the Jersey City (ewww) dist center. Here's my post from July 2020 https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/471561-current-delays-in-usps-shipping/?tab=comments#comment-11270927
  8. You need to be more discriminating about which center you stick your package into.
  9. I understand what you are saying. My 78 year old Mom knows who Superman is but not Wolverine. But at the end of the day, he is currently not moving the needle in the medium he helped put on the map. Perhaps but we're talking about overall popularity and moving the needle in the medium is only a very small part of that popularity. Wolverine will never be the cultural icon that Superman, Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man are. Hell, Scooby Doo is a larger cultural icon than Wolverine is.
  10. Seriously? Lee, Mcfarlane, Lefield, Silvestri, Portacio, Jae Lee. That’s about half of the true copper age guys that define the era. Pump the brakes on that Byrne and Miller stuff. When those guys showed up, Byrne and Miller were still tearing it up.
  11. For me the question is not so much "how does this happen", it's more how does it get to the customer that way. It's a complete failure of QA.
  12. I will say this. For a company that was founded, in part, on the pretext of making collectors more comfortable about purchasing accurately graded comics and comics screened for restoration, their sometimes hands off attitude on fixing problems of their own creation is troubling. Some of the QA issues we've seen are inexcusable and never should have been allowed to leave their hands. Mistakes happen, we all know that but when the mistake is yours, own up to it and make it right. Customer service 101
  13. Wasn't he complaining about a few damaged books? God, is it possible we owe him an apology? Even if he wasn't wrong, he was still a huge person_too_unaware_of_social_graces about it and about a lot of other stuff after that.
  14. Interesting, but yet Superman and Action are not in the Top 50 for sales on Comichron the last two months I wouldn't use comic book sales as an ultimate indication of the true popularity of a character. When it comes to a character like Superman who is a part of American culture perhaps like no other comic book character, It's more than just comic books. You have to look deeper than that. Remember, everyone knows who Superman is. Not nearly as many know who Wolverine is, despite that fact that us comic book fans would like to think otherwise.
  15. It always was, regardless of what Overstreet said. All you have to do is look at the last page of IH 180 to know that.
  16. Much love for the Spider-Roach!!! It's no Sadfan though
  17. What was it that Ron White said?
  18. Maybe he's giving CGC customer service a grade of A and his faith has been restored
  19. You can learn all you want about DC characters right now. They've been publishing comic books for decades.
  20. Can you imagine if this actually happens? All the "I don't like DC" Marvel snobs will suddenly become fans of the formerly DC characters
