  1. oh tell me more , great gate keeper of the message boards! Yes, yes. Let it flow within you. Soon you will be one of us
  2. With his terrier sidekick? Exactly what I was thinking! Did they really name the character who becomes a werewolf after a breed of dog?? I guess we can stop shading Stan for Spidey's first, all-but-forgotten character name - Terry Antula It would have been better if Jack Russell transformed into a wereterrier instead of a werewolf. Wereterrier By Night!
  3. Doubling down, eh? You are going to get THIS WONDERFUL THREAD LOCKED! BLARG! Actually, if you knew something about the guy that Blarg is commenting on, you might not be so critical. He's stirred up carp in the water cooler many times.
  4. Well you went and screwed that pooch, didn't you. Let's keep fluids out of this okay?
  5. Additionally, I was curious which ones (if any) are considered scarce and/or more sought out/desirable by collectors. I was fortunate to get a few of these last summer. Nothing high grade but the covers were too cool to ignore.
  6. Give everyone the shaft? regardless of their fluidity. So many warning point inducing jokes, so little time
  7. It does indeed. Sometimes it even depends on the genre. For example, many of the funny animal comics published in the 40s through 70s could be interchangeable in any era, or perhaps "era ignoring" would be a better way to put it. War comics is another genre where the various ages don't really matter. The exception of course being pre-code / post-code.
  8. That's not a variant. 30 cents was the regular price. The 35 cent copies (non-reprint copies) are the variants.
  9. I don't blame Russ Cochran in taking the CBM in another direction at the time. Think the Carters and fandom were starting to run out of comics/trends to profile after about 80 or so monthly issues. It wasn't that he took it in another direction, he took it in his direction. I can still remember reading his editorial(s) about the changes he wanted to make in the mag. Of course, he was in charge so he could do that but the magazine was far less interesting for it. Gary Carter produced an awesome magazine. Cochran, much less so.
  10. Incredible! Does anyone know if these have been collected in color? I found some Mandrake Sunday volumes but looks like they're in B&W

  12. Got my first choice! Thanks Tim. Another great contest. @DR.X
