I always thought those Marvel/Curtis mags with the orange stickers were distributed by Gold.

That's right, Wild Agents of Marvel short lived fan club in 91/92. It gets a brief mention and sight of the membership card at the start of my MMMS video. Our intention is to film a Marvelmania kit video and then do one on FOOM and WAM together.

We are trying to arrange a date in next couple of weeks to film Marvelmania so hopefully will be out in September, I'll link it here when available. When I started trying to get the fan club kits there was very little reliable information for me to determine what exactly each kit comprised of, being in UK doesn't help as these kits are rare to virtually non-existent here. My intention with these videos is a reference source for collectors trying to compile kits like I was, we may do one on MMMS/Marvelmania/FOOM memorabilia but that isn't really my purpose for the videos.

I seem to recall dark they were stickers as being easy to peel off but then leaving colour fade underneath.

What about shortest run of great artists X-men #50 - 65; Steranko, Barry Smith and Neal Adams.

Don’t forget Romita between Kirby and Buscema on FF. Daredevil was always my favourite - 100 issues of Everett, Wood, Romita, Colan and Barry Smith. After Colan left treaded water a bit until Frank Miller.

My friend has a YouTube channel where he looks at pop culture collectibles. His main focus is paperback books however he does branch out into many other areas - Star Wars, Star Trek, Simpsons, Doctor Who, gum cards and comics among others. I recently did a video with him looking at the Merry Marvel Marching Society (M.M.M.S.) and over the next few months will do ones covering Marvelmania and FOOM. I'm no broadcaster, as you will quickly find out, but hopefully the video will be of interest to some. I'll post Marvelmania and FOOM when filmed;

The artist Lopez Espi was Spanish and the posters were all printed in Spain. There were six (with names) available via Marvel UK, I’m guessing but I would suspect the non-named ones were available for purchase through outlets in Spain (and perhaps exported elsewhere). There are posters of other Marvel characters by Espi in the same style.

The one I am missing from set shown on page 3 of this thread. There are two versions of the posters, one with character’s name (as mine) and one without (as this).

Not me that bought it, seller seemed to have some interesting stuff so I looked through their listings present and sold. Not sure how this exists, even in UK collections of stamps and UKPVs #10 is always unstamped cents. T&P wouldn’t have just imported one or two copies would they? Unless it fell into a batch of another title?

The box first disappeared in oct/nov 1971 with price rise from 15c to 25c and with the two/one month page count increase. Went to a circle but the box has reappeared for long periods.

True, but I always liked the (Ditko designed) side boxes, they made marvels stand out a mile on shelves and spinners.

And cover Captain America #171; i initially thought Tony was primarily an assist to John Romita but stayed on Spider-man title through the Gil Kane run until John returned, but now seeing similar pattern in CA where he started with John Romita but stayed with the title after John had left.

So the UK reprint used the edited art as published in original US Amazing Spider-man #105.

I should have done this before I started thinning out my collection. I’ll check the caps but I sold vampire tales last month.

And to tie it back to UK…. I used amazing Spider-Man #105 to show the published issue had been edited from the original art/proof (Tony’s “hidden” credit was edited out). If anyone has the UK reprint it may be interesting to see if it used the original art/proof or the USA published art.
