Hell yeah, and he looks sharp! I used to love playing with one of these at my aunt's house when I was a kid. She did a lot of babysitting, and she had this in her assortment of toys for the kids. I always wished he was mine. I was pricing them a couple of years ago, but haven't found one in nice shape with a decent box at a price I want to pay...at least not yet. Yours looks great!

Uhm, that is in superb shape.

I could see it 100 times and will never get tired of the toy.   Kudos.

It may be one of the best all-time toys.

Ran across a vintage Castle Grayskull lot on eBay - picture was a lot of random parts along with the castle, including some pieces that didn't go with the set. I have the new Origins castle, but I haven't owned an original since my brother sold mine when I was away at college, so I went for this one. Based on the photos in the listing, it actually looked to be fairly complete, and I was pretty happy to clean it up and put it together tonight.

Here's the pic from the listing:

Here it is put together with an Origins He-Man - disregard the clutter please, some boxes that need to be recycled.... Overall, it's missing the elevator shaft and pull mechanism, the flag pole and flag, the banner sticker and the cardboard cutouts, plus a couple of other accessories are incomplete (see below):

Some of the weapons, the training quintain and an extra laser gun top - no quintain base or weapons rack unfortunately.

Extras - a cracked throne, the throne room base, trap door and mechanism, and a top platform:

Plus these pieces from other sets - the snake and gate from Snake Mountain, the lower base to Point Dread and the grappling hook from a Wind Raider:

Now I can recreate this pic of me as a kid!

    Awesome stuff brohamulus.

I had a weapons rack sitting around for about 1 year and pitched it.

I'll look to see if I have any extras in my accessory pile, but I don't recall any.

Picked up some G1 goodness at my LCS’s Black Friday sale today. Prices were already pretty good, but with the BF 20% off, these all came in at $40 a pop, which is a steal for the Highbrow and Unicron (complete!) and not bad for Ratbat (silver guns!) and Blurr (super tight, clean, and unbroken shield).

Would have bought more, but already spent a bit at the Hasbro Pulse BF sale. At 20% off I went ahead and picked up Sludge and Motormaster, as I’ve still not seen them locally, and picked up the Wreck n Ruin Springer as well. Thinking about going back for some Shattered Glass stuff, but have probably spent enough for one day as is!

Rat Bat is one of the best cassettes.   Ears are always missing.

High Brow has a special place in my toy heart.   Such a cool piece.

Great pick-up! I got a Cobra bunker at an estate sale four or five years ago, a cardboard box sitting on a bed marked $5. Ended up being several hundred dollars worth of stuff in that $5 box! Anyway, I mention it because the box had a complete Cobra bunker, but ALSO had a Viper Pilot who was missing their emblem! Or was he a swivel armed Cobra Infantry? We'll never know...however, my understanding is that the silver logo of the Viper Pilots tends to wipe away completely, whereas the red logo of the 1.5 Infantry doesn't come off so easily. So, if your logo is truly, completely missing, it's likely a Viper Pilot.

    What an odd coincidence.

I think it may actually be the Viper Pilot.  The logo is completely gone.   I just don't trust people anymore, so it could be the Infantry and someone removed the red.   I didn't pay much for it, so I don't care too much.

Is this find to good to be true? Or are these fake?

    Could it be real?  Yes.

Would I trust it?  Probably not.

Would I aggressively pursue it to find out?   El Yes.

Though not of the 12 back variety, I still run across the occasional mailer box of sealed figures.

Not long ago, I met a guy with a mailer box full of a few vintage Star Wars characters (meaning multiples of characters like in this video).

He also had a mailer box full of 1988 vintage TMNT.   I got some killer examples from that box.   How much each?   $25.   How much each for the Star Wars?  $15.

I think it's often forgotten that a ton of collecting occurred by people from the 90s thru this pre-craze (myself included).   And those prices were reasonable.  So if focused on a certain character or toyline, you could amass quite a collection.  Frankly, so many social media posters weren't collecting during that period so they understandably don't have that historical background.

On a side note, I struggled paying attention to the guy in the video.

The wide grip reminds me of the Imaginext figures / playsets our son had growing up. They definitely had loads of medieval figures.  Just a guess though.

Just found out that the sword is from 1983 Imperial Dragons and Knights.

The silver weapon is actually the Pocket Power Glo Bones.  That's a pretty sweet little find.

Just down to the seaweed.  I know the spears are lego.

None.  I will be picking up the Taschen books as they are released, and will most certainly be stopping in shops as I wander, but any buying I do will be with the intention of flipping. It took 2/3rds of a lifetime but I'm finally over my stuffitas .

I went to a comic and toy show today.  It was 90% comics, 10% toys.

I only let 1 comic get my attention.   But was happy to walk away without caving in.
