  1. Here are scans of some of my ten cent Adventure Comics:
  2. If that's true, I'm not sure then why the demand for Turoks is not higher. Strange, isn't it? Are most collectors like lemmings?
  3. Warren replaced issues #70-79 of Famous Monsters of Filmland with Monster World magazine. Here are scans of my earliest ones:
  4. Here are scans of my next four, including another purple cover:
  5. Although those Dell files that grade only 9.0-9.4 would be plenty good for most normal collecting purposes. Typically you really have to squint to determine why a comic is "only" a 9.4 rather than a 9.8, and a disinterested observer thinks you're crazy to be taking out a magnifying glass to determine which of the two identical comics is the better one.
  6. The introduction of Brainiac and a purple cover to boot? I'd be pleased with it too. Here are scans of a couple more of my early Superman family titles:
  7. Purple ones? There's at least one such in these next few scans:
  8. Oh man! Comics like that make this thread a real viewing pleasure!
  9. That's a really nice 7.5 and Flash #113 is very tough to find in grade. (thumbs u
  10. It was fabulous! And Carmine Infantino's covers on the Flash were a large part of what made it so. Here are four more scans of ones from my collection:
  11. Oh I love your #127! That's another one I need! How/where did you buy that one?
  12. Oh yeah! My favourite! Woody Woodpecker, Andy Panda, Oswald Rabbit, the lineup of Walter Lantz characters was great! (thumbs u
  13. Nice #122! Pre-1962 Flashes are so tough. Moving along, here are scans of three more of mine:
  14. That's a beautiful copy of Screen Thrills. You have to wonder though which market Warren was targetting. The title of the publication is very Hollywoodsy, like Screen Gems magazine, and therefore seems to be targetting the middle aged housewife movie star obsessed crowd. Yet the cover is all wrong for the Hollywood crowd since it appears to be targetting kids. So what was Jim Warren's thinking?
  15. What happened here? Hey, nice magazine! Pity about the handwriting on the cover though....
  16. Here are scans of five more of my Adventure Comics:
  17. As opposed to posting all five of your examples within a half an hour, you should have posted a couple and then bumped up the thread with another once a week. Here's the very cool back cover subscription ad Jack Davis did for Creepy 2:
  18. Here then are scans front and back of three more of my Mad magazines:
  19. Oh wow! Those are nice ones! Here's my only Spacemen issue:
