Can you imagine how big a winner a non-smoker (or non-drinker) would have been? Taking advantage of the addictions of others?

In a few days ago, posted it over in the Four Color thread but not here:
A bad oversight on your part for such a great cover!

Agreed, Joe Maneely was a great artist and is perhaps the biggest wild card in the "Oh, what might've been" category. Also, the earlier Two-Gun Kid issues are where I developed an even deeper appreciation of John Severin's work (I may be alone on that, but so be it if I am)! T
I'm a big fan of John Severin's artwork as well!

I prefer the Matt Hawk incarnation over the original Clay Harder version. I prefer the distinctive attire and mask, giving him his dual identity (like many of Marvel's Superheroes), to the rather uninspired average cowboy look of the Clay Harder original. I also enjoy the style of storytelling Stan and the gang adopted by the time the Matt Hawk character was introduced.
Ahhhhh but the Clay Harder Two-Gun Kid was drawn by the incomparable Joe Maneely!
(Not mine.)

See, you should have moved to L.A. in the 60s... There was no problem finding that stuff in southern CA.
Yeah, I kept wondering through the 1970's and 1980's whether my neck of the woods in southern Ontario was just a backwater for the Silver Age DC and Archie superhero comics I most wanted. Looking through Overstreet was really frustrating since I very rarely saw the comics I really wanted advertised in the Comics Buyer's Guide.

Here are a few more really nice Mohawk Valley comics from my collection:
The Mohawk Valley pedigree is I believe the fourth most common in my collection after Northland, Bethlehem and Dallas Stephens. I wish I had more.

And why would the two dozen collectors of Patsy and Hedy or Homer the Happy Ghost be complaining about a price drop? The value of those books hasn't moved since the Nixon administration.
Sheesh. Those fossils I guess should get with what modern day collecting is all about!

Doggy fans seem to be scarce on this board. Where are all the covers picturing Streak the Wonder Dog, Rex the Wonder Dog, Pluto, Scamp, Ruff and Ready, Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggy and Doggy Daddy, and Loopy de Loop?
