  1. You can always set a minimum offer amount, auto-rejected below that. I can see no practical reason to ever block yourself. Totally useless exercise.
  2. We don't know that the offer is NOT set up for immediate payment as is. Lately, eBay won't let you offer without a payment method ready to trigger at acceptance. But that is only the fist hurdle, as mentioned by others. Could be a stolen credit card.
  3. Since this is so important a sale to you, I would avoid the zero feedback buyer. And from the buyer's standpoint, coming out of the gate at $4k isn't healthy either. Once you get out of it, put some language in your terms about having a feedback of at least X to bid or buy.
  4. Apparently it's worth quite a bit in high grade.
  5. That guide is Crazy Town. Some things make no sense, like those you mention. I find the OSPG much more comprehensive, sensible, and accurate. That guide is the culmination of decades of grading opinions, tweaks, clarifications, and editing. Why would you ignore it, and try to reinvent the wheel? And make a wheel with square corners at that. Makes no sense.
  6. He wants you to hold it for him indefinitely.
  7. https://www.ebay.com/itm/155890600470 Do they only make real small boxes in Alabama? In description... Note 3: I can only combine shipping on up to 3 comics at a time. I cannot combine shipping with comics and any other items I may have listed. I can't even imagine a plausible reason for this. Cardboard shortage? Unusually large comics?
  8. It's a tough business at the best of times. But things run their course. I haven't used my VCR in a while.
  9. Did @lizards2 just cut to the chase regarding the title of this thread? Took long enough, after that long, circuitous route involving publishers, movie failures, and pickles.
  10. On 11/25/2023 at 12:46 PM, Buzzetta said: Consider this response under the following or similar conditions. Recently Sold AVG = $500 Your List Price = $450 Offer comes in at $25 Response: "I am sorry but I could not accept that even if I had a meth habit to support." I don't use Best Offer because I don't have the time to do the back and forth, and I probably wouldn't anyway if I had the time. I reduce prices on a schedule instead. But I still get offers through messaging, which eBay actually encourages buyers to do if Best Offer is not present (thanks for nothing, eBay). Some of these are ridiculous. You can't set a threshold on messages.
  11. You could also add "You're welcome ", or "No need to thank me."
  12. I got an email every 3-4 days about it including yesterday. And it was announced as part of their 10th anniversary deals last month.
  13. Looks to be a gripper hole created during the manufacturing process. You don't usually see them, cut away when trimmed. They can show up if the bottom cut is lower than usual, too much of the page bottom left on, top cut usually also lower than normal. Sometimes there are multiple gripper holes. As a manufacturing defect, a gripper hole won't be counted against the grade. If this comic, or any comic, is under $500, with no case damage, there's a 99.99% chance no one has tampered with it.
  14. On any given day, a 9.6 is a 9.8, and a 9.8 is a 9.6. Flip of the coin. I have what I thought was <9 come back 9.6. Also had 9.6 come back 8.0 (missed stain).
  15. Yes...for King's Comics...not for you. I can't see the whole list of 10+, but likely the only Youngblood comic worth more than $1 is #2, which might be worth $10 +/-.
  16. As a blue label I believe it gets a 0.5 with a notation, just as the OP purchased it. They can't just ignore a missing page. Once it's encapsulated, no one would be able to check the page count, and presume complete unless noted. And it probably is too low a grade for a Qualified label. Unless you marry in the missing page/wrap. If it is detected, that will trigger Qualified, but it will at least display its apparent grade. We need @The Lions Den to weigh in.
  17. Looks great in the scan. But it is true, once it left your hands (presuming it didn't go directly from MCS to CGC), there is no way to pinpoint when it got creased. It wouldn't be the first comic to get damaged on the way to CGC, nor the first to get damaged while at CGC.
  18. Must be their new scrunching service to complement their pressing service. No charge. But in all seriousness, very sorry this occurred. I can feel that gut punch.
  19. There's always a "rude awakening" when the market shrinks back from euphoric levels. Even returning to the pre-2020 status will seem like a depression.
  20. Yes, and check the main forum page for selling rules, if offering here.
  21. You don't want to be touching up colors, or outlines, or anything. It will be considered Restoration, and significantly drop the value of your comics. Like by 50%, possibly more.
  22. Thanks for taking the time to write up your observations, @fastballspecial. Very informative.
