Any input on this? Why so low?
  2. I'm sending my key SA CGC graded comics off to auction. Page conditions vary- "white", "off-white to white" and "off-white". Should I send the "WHITE pages" comics to an auction that specializes in or tends to feature more "WHITE pages" comics? I know most of you are collectors here, so maybe I should ask those of you who prefer or only collect WHITE pages- Do you have a "go-to" auction(s) ?
  3. Real nice piece! Lots of action. http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions.asp%3FIDuser%3D%26col%3Da%2EMaxBid&id=1305460#detail

  5. I saw your post the other day. I've been watching a nice '70s Shazam splash on ComicLink. I was going to bid on it, but it exceeded my price range today. It's World's Finest #275 Page 39 Title splash. Good luck building your collection!
  6. Thanks. And I appreciate the helpful advice you guys offered when I first joined this board.👍
  7. Hello. I just received my first ever batch of slabbed comics from CGC. They look beautiful and I see zero Newton rings. I have a couple questions. I'm sure these questions have been asked before in this topic, but I notice there are hundreds of posts here and I don't have time to go through all the posts. Thanks in advance for any answers. 1- My slabs have no rings now. Can they appear later on? And if so...... 2- Is there a way to store the slabs in order to prevent or prolong the appearance of Newton rings?
  8. Just received slabbed copy today. I decided to pay for pressing. I think it helped overall appearance. It's Beautiful!
  9. Thanks. I checked out your suggestion, but there's too much info to go through. But I looked at Gene Colan on wikipedia and was surprised to find a comprehensive bibliography. I'm guessing a friend or family member is maintaining the site, hence all the info. Apparently, he did a ton of stuff for DC, but I only recognize 3 issues where he would have drawn Superman- World's Finest 297 and 299 and DC Challenge #1. I'm not familiar with the 4 issue Phantom Zone series from 1982.
  10. Who is the first comic book character with the power of teleportation?
  11. This piece is described as "rare". Does anyone know how many issues Gene Colan drew with Superman as one of the characters (World's Finest, Superman, Action, etc)? http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions.asp%3FIDuser%3D%26col%3Da%2EMaxBid&id=1305462

  13. I'm looking for art that is credited to "The Tribe", not to the individual artist. Also, if anyone knows any interesting history about The Tribe, please share.

  16. I'm looking at a nice Shazam title splash page from 1982 signed by Don Newton. Very cool! Dan Adkins inks. I notice in the item description that Don also worked on Aquaman, Batman and The Phantom. My memory is foggy, but I seem to recall that Don Newton took over for Jack Kirby's Fourth World when Jack left DC to go back to work for Marvel. Is that correct, or am I thinking of someone else? Here's a link to the page. http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fauctions.asp%3FIDuser%3D%26col%3Da%2EMaxBid&id=1305455
  17. Any idea how much do the missing word balloons affect the price of OA?
