Oooohhh... a book I'm on the hunt for. I'd rather see scans not pictures, but am comfortable saying 9.0 and could go higher if I had a better pics. I assume staples, spine etc is intact and all good.

No grader's notes. I honestly feel they should have to put in grader's notes for anything under 9.8.

Yes but I use a local presser here in Ontario to press, rather than CGC pressers. With shipping in Canada it seems crazy to not C&P before submitting a book. I must admit I was pleased with the grade, I wonder if at least one of the flaws I pointed out they considered mechanical. They absolutely crushed me on another book so it kind of balances out ;)

Grade came in at 9.2 !

I didn't know about oil transfers either.... If I'd paid a 5.5 price I'd risk a cgc submission for sure

Good. Some friendly advice since it's your first .. always Ask to see the book out of the bag. Ignore whatever grade they put on it and decide for yourself. Don't be afraid to make a reasonable offer and a bundle works wonders. Bring cash money. Bring a bag and a top loader to carry your purchases around. And remember there's always another book around the corner.

I find the best places by far to buy books are at comic cons, especially if you buy 2-3 books at once. Most dealers are willing to negotiate a bit for a decent bit of cash. The other bit of advice I can give is let the book come to you. ;)

6.0/6.5. Hard pass on the price. I paid just a few months ago $200 for a Cdn price variant of the same book in an 8.5.

Corners look a little off and maybe there's a bit of a bend.... 9.2.

I'll say 9.4/9.6 BUT it is hard to tell between the distance from the camera and the backgrounds.
