    You can choose, if you want it in a blur holder its a .5 if you want green it will be higher. Very common with Hulk 181 and the missing stamp. James G

Conservation includes tear seals to cover, spine split sealed to cover cover reinforced 7th Wrap Married Book presents very well with most of the damage pieces missing from the spine.     I dont know what you dont see. There is clearly splitting of the paper at the top of the spine. The spine may be mostly split as well and i am not 100% sure the cover is attached. The bottom staple is torn and I can't see the top one. As Rick said that black is likely mold damage. As for CCS pressing it i had them kick back a Cr-Ow book because it was to fragile to press. It is much harder to press golden age books. Regardless i am sure the brittle pages are turning others like myself off. James G

    The upper left on the front shows some splitting. The lower staple also shows some splitting a d the back top left is exposed and the paper looks brown and weak. James G

    Hmm are the contents color and the same. Size looks a bit smaller. I wonder how wide spread this was as i had never seen that before. James G

    The book presents well but looks very brittle and that will keep people away. If it wasnt brittle i would have been all over it. Someday i will own a copy again. James G

    There are no pence books for ga stuff in the same way there are for silver age books. There were several companies in the uk and Australia that reprinted material with either new covers or altered covers. At this point there seems to be limited interest in these books. James G

    It really depends on what was done. Where are the pieces that were added and how much color touch is done. If the whole spine is done and bleeds through you would need to replace that paper and re restore it. I think Susan (restoration Lab) would do a appraisal but with a book like this there could be hidden problems. My gut says there is too much work to un restore it but I would certainly find out. It would be better in a professional holder then amateur IMO but I would try to keep it away from extensive. Let us know how it goes. James G

    Really the back cover is missing i think that clearly says it's incomplete. My guess it that they only put incomplete when interior things are missing which cant be seen. James G

    What online price guide did you check? As rjpb was saying all keys have a base buy in cost. This book has say on ebay for a long time at 7kish before he jumped the price. I would pay 3k for this book in a heart beat. I dont think it was ever on ebay at 5k. I dont think your ever going to see a nearly complete copy of this book under that price. this is assuming the craigs list post isnt fake... James G

    Well thanks for the link. Have you seen other color guides done like this, everyone I have seen is generally a copy of the inks and then colored in, this is the opposite.... We still don't know what it is though... James G

    What are you basing this on? Issue 3 came out in 78 this is dated 77. No pin ups in issue 1 and the pins ups in three were done by different artists. Also this is not a color guide, certainly not like any color guide I have ever seen. The black is on an acetate overlay with the colors painted directly onto the board. James G

    Yes the 29 has jumped up a lot. It is a lot rarer 58 vs 87 and I think people realized it was undervalued compared to the other issues. There have been a lot more 31's selling so we have seen the increase in price, once the 29's came out and started selling we saw the same jump. I know there are two restored copies that need to be removed from the census so really there are only 56. Who know how many have been cracked for the other holder as well so the population is off I am sure. James G

    No it would not be worth the cost or time as there is too much damage. As noted above your better off buying a nicely restored copy. James G
